I keep tyres down to the legal minimum. However, if they were perished and cracked, looking like yours are nd, I would be replacing them regardless of how much is left on them. Yours are worn out and perished too. Definitely replace IMO.

so this is not a good time to say that i'm fitting my car out with tyres that you removed from yours :pac::D

These would have been on my parents cars mostly. I do so little milage that tyres last me ages :P

I did warn you that they weren't very good in the wet. Excellent in the dry though and give very good steering feel :)

So out of curiosity do most of you change your tires when they get close to the limit or try to get 110% out of them?

My front left. I've got wheel alignment done since.

    Is that tyre an infinity?

Edit: took a closer look and it not an infinity, looks like a Firestone multihawk?

correct! There are infinities on the rear.

I don't think they are perished. That effect might be from power steering.

I'm obviously planning to replace them soon but am thinking I might get another few 100 miles out of them in decent weather.

Despite having the same engine... M47... The Rover 75 CDTi is so much easier to work on than the e46 320D.

I seen a vw pick up in kilkenny yesterday it was cool looking. I'm not sure what model but it was darkish blue in colour and 81-cw reg. I knew you'd definitely appreciate it. Seriously clean looking to.

Everything ends up in Donegal, even Moms knickers find their way. Its like a black hole for cars.
Most of the rare skylines, s14/s15 are all hidden in there.

It's great having it in the golf the last few days. I didn't have it in the focus and it is nice on the warm days.

If we're doing a tourist trap, do it later on a weekday.
    From 6/7-10 midweek I'd say.
Otherwise you'll never get space for all the cars.

Glendelough is a great spot once we've the space.

@Kaiser D, I saw that 50 year woman driving the black R34 skyline today:D She was pulling in at Donaghmede to do her shopping.

In other news I am Happy/Sad to say JZX-100 cars are becoming popular over here, 3 of them there at a meetup last night, they seem to be CW reg.
