    Ok lads light relief.

Other threads are far too negative about our games.
Reading a good bit of Rotella - and I have been way too negative about my game.
Also have picked up a bit from watching other Boards golfers.

This Thread is the positive attitude thread.
    can be funny or ironic.

But when your down. On here, and post something positive :D

It is the Irish Version of the American positivity man.

    ill start.

    I am a good golfer.

    Lol -

A negative conclusion or ironic twist is a bit Irish - but we will let them go as just too funny. :D

    Good stuff lads

When you have a shot on a hole, a bogey is really a Par. :pac:

On a semi-serious note, I've been having a nightmare with the putter over the past 2 months...those 2 footers won't go it for love nor money. Implementing the old adages "Treat 'em mean to keep 'em clean" and "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" I've consigned my putter to the shed (with a 6 iron on "life with no parole") and reverted to my 2-ball. Knocking them short ones in now so delighted with meself

    18 handicapper.

Left the driver in the car on Friday and used 3 wood instead.

    Only missed 2 fairways.

    Shot 84.

When I slice my putting I tend to leave myself a makeable 2nd/3rd/4th putt..

Had my first game in 3 years yesterday, it was the most enjoyable moring I've had in a long time.

I spent the winter at the driving range changing my grip from a cack handed one and the results have been huge.

I made five bogeys, then played matchplay on the back nine with my friend (who plays off 6) and only lost 2&1!

Genuinely delighted. Looking forward to playing a lot more over the summer:)

My good shots are as good as a scratch golfer's good shots.

I was level par for first six holes of back 9 yesterday, I won't mention the double bogey, treble, double bogey finish for a 7 over par back 9 :)

Played extremely bad today. Looking over some old cards from before Christmas and it seems my extremely bad now was my a bit below average back then. That's a positive right? Right!?

Seems like a good place for this:

Was at the range a few days ago.
It was early morning and the place was empty bar myself, a father and his 8 or 9 year old son.

So I was working away at a few things but I couldn't help listening in to their interactions.
    Father giving son advice.
The son marvelling in his fathers shots.
(Father had a tendency for a snap hook but I wasn't going to shatter dreams :) )

Anyway, was a lovely range session.
Kinda got lost in the moment.
Every shot the son hit was over estimated.... balls landing before the 100 marker were announced by the young lad as being 160-170, priceless!
He's a future golfer for sure I thought!!!!

Anyway, after 20 mins or so I hear an announcement.
    "Dad, it's my last ball!"
    In the same breath came.
"And I'm going to make it my best shot ever"

I had to step away from my ball.

I couldn't see the little fella so I stood there looking at the bay, waiting to see a club at the top of his swing.

Then it came... The little fella hit a peach of a shot. It was a cracker.

"Dad, that was my best shot ever"
    "It was Son"

    A moment of beauty.
Jesus, I nearly had the tissues out.

Then the little pr*ck asked for another basket and proceeded to fat every shot...
    Definitely a future golfer :)

....I'm gonna make it my best shot ever.... Not a bad pre shot thought.
