This week on The Saturday Night Show, Ireland and Ulster player Andrew Trimble will be discussing his great Six-Nations comeback.

RTÉ’s George Lee will talking about being back in the newsroom and giving his take on our economic recovery and talk of a property bubble.

The always fun Sarah Harding tells us about moving on from the Girls Aloud and helping Bressie out on The Voice of Ireland.

Dr Ciara Kelly from Operation Transformation will be discussing how GPs are on their knees after years of cuts.

And there will be music from the exceptional Julie Feeney.

Tune in at 9.55pm and enjoy!!

I wonder what topics Brendan will use for his opening jokes this week???

Good to see kitteh and puppeh following CountyHurler's heartless ban :)

Brendan's opening zinger may revolve around a certain awards ceremony that gave him the night off last week :D

    Super OP again cofy :)

Not a bad guest list. Hopefully it will be a better show than last Saturday's effort. It can't be any worse!

It's such a pity that they did not interrupt the broadcast just long enough to shout out "IF YE DON'T BE QUIET, NOT ONE OF YE WILL GET AN AWARD"
    ;)

He gets fairly ratty if you ask him about his time in politics... so ask him about that Brendan..

The exceptionally unusual maybe... Here she is playing a song with a couple of branches from a tree...

I commented on the video, asking if she could play Bohemian Rhapsody with the same two branches.. I received no reply.. :-(

ANOTHER episode promoting both the Voice of Ireland and Operation Transformation?!?

Unlike the two such episodes in January, however, the line-up isn't terrible - so I'll tune in. :)

Not to be a fussbudget, but...

It's a perfectly acceptable format for a date just as acceptable as any other format, so build a bridge and get over it.:D:D:D:D:D

Meh. The guest list is not really doing anything for me.

Might just hand around long enough to see if Brendan makes any comment on the IFTA debacle...

Even if the sound/location problems are sorted for the IFTA's next year, another disaster looms on the horizon...

They seem to think they are owed a living. The whole system is massively open to abuse, you have a medical card and you can hit the doctor every day for as much as a paper cut, then you have non medical card holders struggling to make ends meet putting off vital visits to the doctor because of the €50 plus a go prices.

    Yeah lol.
I'm lucky enough to have an excellent gp. But I am always puzzled by all the admin staff needed there.
There are 2 main gps, 2 other gps and a nurse. Any day I'm there i see at least 3 admin staff as well.
So the costs of the Admin staff must really be a lot of money.

Taxi drivers, bus drivers, teachers, airline staff, and now doctors. Is there any profession not looking for more money these days.

He called to my house earlier. I was lookin out the window, this black Passat pulled up in front of my house.

Out he jumped, straight up the driveway, asked if i had one, straight down the driveway, and off he went.

Felt kinda special to have him looking out for me like that.

exactly. probably over a million. gp get paid for treating medical holders but very few attend required multidisciplinary team meetings. they only care about how much they earn.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 140 ✭✭jescart

    What exactly does she want?

But you also have elderly people entitled to medical cards, who only go to the GP as a last resort.
And sometimes leaving it too late.....

They should seperate the whole system, one set of doctors that exclusively deal with medical cards and one that don't.

But they have the option to go every day if they want, it's their stubborn ways that prevents them not financial needs, their own choice.

Next up - Marian Finucane tells Brendan about the difficulties of surviving on €492,000 a year for working four hours a week.
