    Raw Five-Point Preview

We have good news and we have bad news.

The bad news? WrestleMania 30 and history’s seemingly unconquerable record are over and done with. The good news? The RawafterWrestleMania is upon us. Daniel Bryan did the impossible and defeated WWE’s COO Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton in the same night to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Brock Lesnar made WWE history and ended The Undertaker’s vaunted undefeated Streak. John Cena defended his legacy and topped Bray Wyatt, while Cesaro captured the first Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy.

What lies ahead on Raw? WWE.com has five ideas for you to ponder while you wait for the action to unfold on USA tonight at 8/7 CT. (Not to mention the Raw Pre-Show on WWE Network at 7:30 ET.)

    “Yes! Yes! Yes!-tleMania”

The long, arduous journey of Daniel Bryan and the “Yes!” Movement culminated at WrestleMania 30. The new face of WWE first defeated Triple H to earn a spot in the main event Triple Threat Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Then, while a badly injured shoulder suffered at the hands of WWE’s COO, Bryan overcame the odds and made Batista tap out to the “Yes!” Lock to capture the championship in front of a sold-out crowd of 75,167 fans inside New Orleans’ Mercedes-Benz Superdome. How will Daniel Bryan address the WWE Universe on Raw tonight? And will Triple H or The Authority have anything to say to a so-called “B+ player” becoming the face of WWE?

    21-1

Do not adjust your eyes. You read that right. The Streak is dead. In arguably the most shocking WrestleMania moment ever, The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania record came to an abrupt end as Brock Lesnar pinned The Deadman in the middle of the ring following the last of three F-5s. Do The Beast Incarnate or Paul Heyman intend to address his stunning victory to the WWE Universe? And is that “1”theone that marks the end of The Deadman?

    Cenation Legacy Lives On

For weeks Bray Wyatt and his Family tormented John Cena, threatening to end his legacy at The Show of Shows. The Family patriarch dared the leader of the Cenation numerous times to take him out, even handing Cena a steel chair. Ultimately, Hustle, Loyalty and Respect rose above The Buzzard-beaters, and Cena took Bray Wyatt down with an Attitude Adjustment. But is one victory enough for John Cena to finally rid himself of the terrifying trio?

    Wow The People!

Just about two hours after losing the Fatal 4-Way Elimination Tag Team Championship Match to The Usos and coming to blows with his Real American cohort Jack Swagger, Cesaro won the first-ever Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in the most emphatic way possible. The Real American stunned the sold-out Mercedez-Benz Superdome and coveted the five-foot tall trophy after scooping the heavily-favored Big Show and slamming him over the top rope for the victory. So, let’s review – he swung a Swagger and tossed a giant. What’s next for Cesaro?

    Believe in The Shield yet?

After costing The Hounds of Justice an opportunity at the WWE Tag Team Titles a few weeks ago, WWE Director of Operations Kane and The New Age Outlaws had been a thorn in the side of The Shield. When the two sides met at the Mercedez-Benz Superdome for the Showcase of the Immortals, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose showed The Shield’s united front in a big way, ousting the six-time WWE Tag Team Champions and the Big Red Monster with an unbelievable double-Triple Powerbomb. What lies ahead for one of the strongest trios in WWE history? Tune in to Raw this Monday at 8/7 CT on USA Network, and be sure to tune in to WWE Network for the Raw Pre-Show at 7:30 and Backstage Pass immediately following the show!

I'd imagine after THE STREAK being broken (I can't believe i actually typed that out :() that The Undertaker will ride off into the sunset

I hope the Undertaker retires tonight on Raw. Now the Streak is done, there is no reason to go on.

If that was his last match, hopefully he returns tonight for a Flair-esque sendoff.

Also I imagine we'll see Paige making her debut tonight after AJ retaining.

Who made the call backstage to break THE STREAK last night to Lesnar of all people.

Lesnar is class. Nobody more suitable. People are just upset that it wasn't an internet darling.

Probably Taker himself. I don't know anyone who'd suggest it (out loud!). He's also a huge MMA mark so he'd probably prefer to be beaten by a legit beast. I'd wager only Taker/Heyman/Brock, H/Steph/Vince and Kevin Dunn knew.

It's just a shame as big picture, it doesn't mean much to Lesnar's career (who's already a part-timer who doesn't particularly care about wrestling) and a huge missed opportunity to make a huge new star. It has to be Taker's last match - disappointed we won't get to see Cena take on the streak, or any new matchups.

I'd imagine that Paul Heyman will be in a gloating mood tonight..

And another thing to look forward to on Raw, the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion

Bryan's celebration promo should be interesting, expect either Batista, Randy Orton, Triple H & Stephanie to spoil it.

Would love Heyman to gloat only for Punk to come back. Won't happen obviously.

  • Registered Users Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

Believe me, Paul Heyman will gloat and we'll never hear the end of how Brock Lesnar beat THE STREAK

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,101 ✭✭✭MitchKoobski

I can see Heyman going on and on about how HE beat the streak and pissing off Brock.

I just hope they don't put Bryan and Lesnar together for Extreme Rules, but I don't think they will

Sidenote from last night, Stephanie McMahon looked faboulous last night, Triple H you are one lucky bastard

Why? that's the biggest match they have right now, Lesnar is a legit threat again and Bryan is the most over guy in the company, that's free money as far as WWE is concerned.

Raw is going to be emotional, but has potential to be the best raw ever.

the have the opportunity to do something amazing for wm31 now and start to build lesnar vs Bryan

maybe hhh could refuse lesnar the shot out of bitterness both at not been able to get the job done on taker twice and wanting a shot at Bryan himself i could think of worse things for a ppv main event than huh/Bryan rematch

It's Extreme Rules. And neither man needs a defeat right now.

WWE surprises Taker by all the members of The Corporate Ministry coming out to pay tribute.

I know the Undertaker is 50 but it he look so old and frail in the ring last night it was quiet sad in my eyes. So I really do hope he retires tonight.

Heyman will be so AWESOME tonight his head might explode on live tv :)

Also anyone else notice how quick Lesnar blew up he gased in a couple of minutes of a very slow paced matches.

Can't wait for the camera to pan up to the rafters tonight. Hope he has more than just the one match.

that's the problem with part-timers and guys coming off a long hiatus, they rarely have the cardio required for tv matches.
Rock & Bootista are two other that immediately spring to mind.

The Raw after Mania is usally the best one of the year. It always tends to produce an epic moment.

Heyman will be gloriously obnoxious tonight.

My feeling is in the last segment Undertaker will come out, tease a retirement, talk about how he feels he has to ride into the sunset and then...

    ...or is that wishful thinking?

I want an epic return tonight damn it.

i don't care that their old and the match will probably stink but it would be amazing if he challenged Taker to one last match for both at Mania next year and it be even more unpredictable now the streak is gone

He sold the reaction to Brock winning like a fcuking champ, he genuinely looked as stunned as the crowd did.

Taker mightn't be a Raw tonight see as he left the Superdome in an ambulance last night. Fears of a concussion and neck injuries.

If you listen back to the commentary I would guess that the commentary were clued in at some point. In between bouts of silence they played up that Undertaker was half-dead, streak might not continue etc.Bradshaw in particular did an about face turn and talked about how Taker was going out like a warrior.

I was hoping last night 'Taker would win, do his kneel down thing with the 22-0 on the screen, lights go out, and when they come back on Sting is standing in front of him pointing the bat.

Exactly the same way they have done for years now...
