    Its:

    Zone Menu.

    Zone Types.

    Then select the zone you want to remove.

    Press Yes.

    Press # until you see Unused.

    Then press Yes.

    Unused should now be on solid while the zone number blinks.

    Then keep pressing quit until you see Exit Engineer.

    Press Yes.

    Sounds like you went into zone options as apposed to zone types.
    If you select inhibit in options it will just allow a user inhibit that zone as apposed to making it unused in the zone types.
