Given the subject matter of that last interview, I'm glad there weren't any clips. Probably would have needed a David Attenborough voice-over.

Look at Bruce Willis, a man nearly in his sixties going off with that girl in her twenties.. It just isnt right.. ;)

she makes out like she has overcome a huge challenge on behalf of women her age. since when was it difficult to get guys to have sex with a woman of any age.
And that, sums up this nonsense.

I think that Simpsons VH1 parody has ruined these BBC4 docs for me. :D
    Can't take them seriously.

    Fleetwood Mac were great though.

Rhys Ifans was interviewed by Tubs a few years back and referred to him as a 'Dainty Little Bugger'. It stuck :)

Friday night is dress-up night...Tubs as JFK, Aoibhinn as Jackie O :D

I think tonight will be a confidence rebuilding night tbh.

Ryan (tears flowing) "Kaparov mocked me Aoibhinn, he made me look stupid in front of the tart, the girl in her knickers and the toothless kid. All those clips, and he still mocked me...."

"Dont worry Ryan, I bet he doesnt know as much about JFK or Obama as you do"

No, not even close. Kasparov or Capablanca are generally seen as the best.

Just read the thread, don't bother with the show. As always, the thread will lift your spirits. (More than can be said for Tubs):-)

Wasnt a good night for Tubridy. I cant imagine he's feeling too good about his interview with Kasparov. The self professed "political junkie" or "political nerd" was shown to be completely out of his depth when it came to discussing Russian politics with a real intellectual. The level of questioning displayed no real depth to his understanding of the Russian situation, and little preparation in advance of the interview...

I'm not sure why he thought it necessary to bombard Kasparov with the short, simplistic, quick fire questions. "Is Putin after you, are you afraid to fly".. I seriously thought he was gonna ask him "How did Gorbachov get that mark on the side of his head".

That's all very well coolhull, but what happens if everyone adopts the same strategy :D Reading the thread but not watching the show is like listening to a concert from the Car Park.

    That sounds about right!

One of these days we'll have a psychic doing interviews with dead people. It will open up a brand new misery stream "Ask Joan about the flames, were they very painful? How did that make her feel? ..."

listen to a concert from a car park near Croke Park on certain nights this July and it will come back to you who the great philosopher who uttered these words is...
