So if Giant is the Toyota of the bike world what are the others?

I have now seen a number of threads on here where people have said that Giant is the Toyota of the bike world. Do people see a parallel for any car manufacturers in other bike brands? I ride a trek and I suppose I'd compare them to fords - okay but not very exciting. Where do you see brands fitting in? (And why?)
