Supervalu have the Irish Pot Still Whiskey sampler set for €30 (reduced from €36).
Contains 4 miniatures of premium Irish whiskies: Red Breast, Green Sport, Powers John Lane & Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy (full bottle retails for €200).
Makes a nice present for someone who you know likes Irish whiskey.

ps Dunnes also stock it, but no prices online

just bought one as a gift, dont know what it tastes like

I got a nice big glass of it in a friends house and it's grand.
Good talking point for a Christmas gift bottle.

Yes this time of the year it's like all about hedging alcohol prices for the year ahead, takes skill to strike at the right time, these 2 for €35 crates have flustered my whole system, lol.

Ive a small house and a stupid amount of family that come to visit over xmas. I've 4 cases on top of my sons wardrobe covered even, im running out of space, car boot full too.

Just left Tesco with 18 bottles of wine and a slab of Guinness for the princely sum of €98. The wine was heavily reduced, red was €10 per bottle down from €20, white was €10 down from about €15, at full price the wine alone would have cost me €350. Unreal bargains currently.

That adds up to way more than 98? did you use vouchers as well?

Yep, got a load of Tesco vouchers randomly in the post, dunno why. They were just addressed to the householder, I never shop there and dont even have a tesco club card.

Never ever believe tesco so called full price on wines. Usually the price is doubled for a couple of weeks to be marked down by 50%.

A well known marketing gimmick.

Do a google search on the wines - either you'll find them at about £7 in the UK or you'll find that you can only get them in tesco and its a white label wine (label created for a specific customer)

So good value - but not €350 worth.
