My father told me about this at dinner, he heard it on the radio today, unfortunately the reporter was stating that it had been shot 50 times, Careful journalism as usual, at least it's worded a bit better in this piece.

The mods have been made aware of this since this morning and our first intention to was to ban any mention as it has nothing to do with sport shooting or hunting, and as such nothing to do with this forum.


We are appalled and disheartened by this act, and it's a disgrace to see. However the hunting section or shooting section of Boards.ie is not the place for such discussion. The reason is simple. We do not allow or tolerate illegal acts, which this clearly is, and as the species is protected and not classed as game it is as "off limits" as RKBA, bow hunting, etc. We wholeheartedly support the Gardaí, NPWS, and other bodies in their pursuit of the perpetrator.


As such the mods have decided to close this thread but leave this message to let everyone know why the subject is not for discussion.
