Off topic, really pissed about Eng game being shown as it wouldn't have taken much to give Irish subscribers Eng game on red button.

Thats the two wickets that we needed.

It is, isn't it? The thing is that UPC subscribers don't have the red button functionality, which is a selling point for Sky, so they're not going to facilitate that.

Sorry, should have been clearer with my rant, not being available on the super skygo app!

The money is piling on Ireland on Betfair even at 1/10

€5.6m matched of which €5.4 m is on Ireland

    Edit - #ireland now 1/20

And there is €450k waiting to go on if/when they hit 1/33

115/6 with an over to go

Why not Stirling instead of Cusack for the last over??

    4-0-17-2 - take a bow Kevin O'Brien, superb bowling.

Sorensen bowled himself out of a place in the last game IMO. McBrine back in I'd say.

Unless Thompson shows up with the bat it's hard to see why he'd keep his place either.

Probably sounds harsh but we need to tighten up with a tough test against Netherlands and, hopefully, bigger challenges ahead.

Run a ball then. V doable. But can never be sure with our lads.

An update on the Ireland match is now to appear on Sky Sports 2 on UPC ( break in the Eng match)

A lot will depend on the start that we get. Lose a couple of quick wickets and Ill start to worry.

    Stirling injured

    Gone off. Disaster

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,237 ✭✭✭✭djimi

Didnt need this. Hopefully its only minor; we dont need to lose him for the next few weeks.

I'd say it's a case of him not wanting to damage it ahead of the Netherlands match.

5 wides? They are gifting us this chase.

    24/0

    100 needed off 18 overs

    Squeeky bum time

    Stirling injured

    Is it his elbow?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,917 ✭✭✭BarryD

Hope he hasn't chipped a bone or anything like that..

Yeah. Played through a pull shot too early and got one right on the tip of the elbow. Looked in a bit of pain.

  • Registered Users Posts: 186 ✭✭crackit

Looked like a bad bang. He grimaced in pain when he hit the next ball for 4. He wasn't even on strike when he left the field. Obviously in huge pain. Fingers crossed but it doesn't bode well

    That a bit wide!!!!

No worries here. We should be trying to get really nice RR to make Ned needing to trash us.

    Cricinfo

I see the dreaded 5 penalty runs has been given - what was it for?

    5.6
Amjad Javed to Joyce, 1 run, a lot happened there! He pushed this towards mid-off and hurried the single, Joyce dived and he got there before the direct hit, unfortunately for UAE the throw deflected off the stumps and struck the helmet near the wicketkeeper so that's five penalty runs
