Monday Night Raw live from Pepsi Center, Denver, CO

    20140213_Large_Raw_Preview_OrtonSheamus_LIGHT_HOMEPAGE.jpg

It’s one week until Elimination Chamber, and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton is sweating. He probably won’t admit it, but he’s in dire straits after being defeated by three of his five Elimination Chamber Match opponents in one-on-one matches, and his toughest fight is still yet to come in the Elimination Chamber Match itself. While The Viper tries to save face, Jack Swagger has made a huge power play and Daniel Bryan defied Authority orders to make an example out of Kane. What will happen on Monday’s Raw when these Superstars’ paths to Elimination Chamber reach a fever pitch?

    1. The final test (Randy Orton is – how to put this delicately – in deep trouble. The Authority’s faith in him seems to flip-flop every week, and the Champion of Champions hasn’t exactly risen to their challenge of taking out all five of his Elimination Chamber Match opponents in singles competition leading up to the brawl in "Satan’s Prison." The Viper is sitting less-than-pretty at 1-3 after his upset loss to Cesaro on SmackDown, and his final hurdle is against Sheamus, a man who’s got more pins than a bowling alley. The Apex Predator needs needs needs to win this one. Can he?)

    2. Uso, you didn’t know? (Maybe this notion of The Usos as WWE Tag Team Champions isn’t so bizarre after all. Not only did the brothers defeat the “Rybaxel” tag team on last Monday’s Raw, but they defeated the reigning Tag Team Champions in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match on SmackDown. The New Age Outlaws have been somewhat dismissive of the notion of The Usos as legitimate contenders to their titles, but the proof is in the pudding. Will the brothers finally get their opportunity?)

    3. Swagger’s ‘Big’ chance (Jack Swagger has been the odd man out of The Real Americans ever since Cesaro qualified for the Elimination Chamber Match, though the former World Heavyweight Champion seemed to get back on track when he defeated Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio & Mark Henry to become the No. 1 contender to Big E’s Intercontinental Championship. Elimination Chamber is setting up to be a game-changer for Zeb Colter and his crew; can Swagger stay on the rebound from his recent misfortunes and keep The Real Americans running strong?)

    4. Not business, strictly personal (Looks like strongly worded reprimands aren’t going to do much for Daniel Bryan, who gave his old buddy Kane a stronger reprimand right to the face courtesy of a running knee that sent the Director of Operations tumbling into the audience last Monday on Raw. Kane was absent from the proceedings on SmackDown, though it’s unlikely the “Yes!” man will get away without another confrontation from his former tag team partner Monday night.)

    5. Bombs away (So Alberto Del Rio got what he wanted – he’ll face Batista at Elimination Chamber – and he also may have gotten more than he bargained for, as a Batista Bomb through the announce table likely demonstrated on Monday. Now that The Animal has zeroed in on Del Rio as his target, though, the former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion has to start thinking strategy. Can Del Rio find a way to neutralize Batista before Elimination Chamber? Or is it simply just a matter of time before he’s disposed of by the Royal Rumble Match winner?)

Batista killing Del Rio last week has to be one of the most pointless and needless things they have done in a long time. Batista didnt need to look strong, he won the fcuking Royal Rumble. You cant get much stronger. Del Rio was the one who needed to look good ahead of Elimination Chamber in order to make it somewhat believable that he could win.

He prob has it in his contract he can't look weak against Del Rio haha. Is it a case of HHH looking after his buddies?

    I disagree
Batistas return has been pretty damn miserable so far
Booed out of the arena at the rumble ,Big Dave not being so big ,trying to be the beast alongside a real Beast in Lesnar.

If they have plans long term with Big Dave they need to get him over.
That level of aggresion against Del Rio made me sit up and notice him for the first time since he returned.

But will you be as interested in their match at EC this Sunday now you know he can easily demolish Del Rio?

It leaves no doubt as to who's going to win the match. Not a good way to generate PPV buys.

Yep the basic thing about a PPV , you want people to see the heel get his comeuppance, and that is what you pay for.But Batista has killed him numerous times, Del Rio will probably get the upper hand later, but the feud after last week has zero heat.

Yeah I'm liking it too, Del Rio has to get the upper hand tonight though to make it somewhat believable he can win at Elimination Chamber.

Found it quite amusing two weeks ago when they brawled, they were both wearing the same clothes, tight jeans and a tight grey t-shirt, looked like casual Friday or something, refreshing change from it making look like wrestlers arrive at the arena in their wrestling gear and just hang out in the back wearing nothing but trunks.

They do arrive in their gear! Remember a few weeks ago when Cena showed up three hours late? Full wrestling attire as he walked into the building :pac:

Blurb from WWE.com about tonight's main event.
"Saint Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland; can Sheamus do the same to Randy Orton as The Viper's final foe in his Elimination Chamber Match gauntlet?"

    Fock sake

Please don't have "The Authority" open the show. They seem to open the show every week these days!

Cesaro getting an opening slot on Raw. Definitely a sign that WWE are taking him somewhere

    "Who invited him?"

    Ouch.

Lads, who would be the obvious choice to win the chamber Sunday? in and out of watching WWE this year. Is the script going for a presumably orton retaining title?

A doge sign? Yes! Yes! Yes!

    Hope Bryan gets it.

WWE treat him like ****. Hes easily one of the best people working in Pro Wrestling in the world today.

Cena Cesaro should be a good match.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,159 ✭✭✭mrkiscool2

They had to turn someone else heel for the chamber, seems like they are turning Christian heel!

Good opener. Nice pacing to it. The interruptions were timed pretty well, for a change!
Reckon I'll watch the first match and tape the rest.

Anyone else bored with this so far?
I just have it in the background.
