I tried to anyway, may have spent an hour too long in Jp's before the match however so let's say I hadn't the clearest of minds during the match :pac:

    What a night!!

I uploaded my Dalymount photos if anyone is interested :)

    Great photos.

its sad our stadiums can look like they would fit into the Walking Dead tv show without any help from anyone.

Like said, it's sad that the state of the grounds make for such great photos. Especially hate seeing Tolka and Dalyer reduced to their current state.

Great photos, and sad to see.

But then I am a Derry fan, and I've been watching my football in a 3rd world stadium for many a year.

Anyone know can tickets be bought at the ground for the Pats and Harps semi tomorrow? Away section preferably!

Walk in the away section, they go in under the arch at 125.

Harps are dire, Pats could get 6 or more here if they keep the pedal down.

Some match discussion here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057301268&page=6 for the Pats/Harps game as well as Rovers vs Derry later on.

Great shots from Dalymount by the way. It's kind of funny because I've been going there years yet have never been in the away sections so was cool to see from another perspective. Looking forward to the next set.

Not sure where I should travel next, been to Longford, Limerick, Pats, Bohs and Shelbourne now. I'm open for suggestions from people too. Brandywell could be interesting I'd say. Also, planning on making the trip to Harps next weekend.

Apparently Michael Rafter has been released by Cork City. He's had a horrible time of it with injuries and there has been talk that he may be finished with top level football now due to his dodgy ankle. Hopefully that's not true. Any Cork fans here know anything about it? Think he's still only 22 or something like that.

He'll always be a hero in Dundalk thanks to his goal against Waterford in the relegation playoff.

Yep from what Caulfield has said at last weeks GM, he'll be done with competitive football for another few years, if not for good, and he reiterated thats not just LOI, that includes all 11 a side football.

We signed him on a pay per appearance contract cause he failed his medical with us. He went over on his ankle in training and was due to be out a month. This lingered on due to the medical team discovering how bad it actually was. Poor bloke went for an operation where they had to break the ankle a few weeks ago, and by all accounts that didnt go too well.

Interesting article on the rte website today about the problems in the LOI:
Listening to John Delaney's recent interview on RTÉ 2FM's Game On programme, I couldn't help but feel I was listening to a well-versed politician rather than a man who feels passionately about trying to change the face of Irish football and how it's perceived.

If you didn't know anything about football in this country and tuned in, you'd be forgiven for thinking everything is rosy in the garden and the game is excelling in what the organisation is trying to achieve.
    Sadly that's not the case.

When the conversation moved towards domestic football and the League of Ireland in particular, I thought you could actually feel it across the airwaves how much Delaney didn't want to discuss this topic.
"For far too long, clubs are just surviving - they are not living"
He described the league as the problem child of the organisation. That's some statement.

When you have to break the ankle in order to improve it, you know things aren't exactly fantastic.

Such a shame though. I was looking forward to seeing him when he joined as he seemed like an exciting talent at the time.

I get to go around Turners Cross when the place is empty whenever I want and the way the MFA treat it it will be a piece of crap in a few years as well. The 2 main stands are fine but the St Annes End and Derrynane side are racking up more and more broken seats every week. I would hazard there are at least 100 broken seats at the moment. The litter is disgusting as the place is rarely swept.

Not saying it is awful but it could go that way very quickly.

What's story with Limerick home ground? Is it few more years in rugby ground at least yet?

If my mother tongue is shaking the foundations of your state, it probably means you built your state on my land.

Got any links or pics as I missed that and also heard that very little development has gone on.

Surely if he is good enough now not playing first team football, he was good enough 6 weeks ago!!

Great for him though. I would hope he gets a run against Gibraltar.

I believe there are extensive add-ons in place for Cork City which include international call ups.

Seems like players are invisible until they board that plane to the UK.

Just been told that there is no international cap add ons. The add ons are all club related.
