Sorry to be a pain but i have to make my decision on which rifle today. It's so close between the cz and the sabatti both 270 and both same money and simaler condition. I would hate to buy one only to find the other was a better gun for me i just want it for stalking. So if u have any advice i'd be very greatful...

    Which do you prefer?

If you did not know the price of them which one fits you best, is lighter, do you like the look of best?

Exactly, you should find out the models and research them. I would never buy any gun without even knowing the model and find out what they are like.

I mean if it was two car that were both 1.6 engines, you wouldn't pick either car without knowing what model they were and what they are like would you?

Take your time, there is no rush. You will be long enough waiting for a lisence anyway.

    Just my opinion lad

I went into the gun dealer and here are the makes of the 270's Cz Brno zkk .600.. And sabatti Gardone vt. so which do u think would be best for stalking.

Are they not both old models? As in quite old. Not a major problem, but depending on price you have other options open to you. Newer rifles, better price, and better re-sale/trade value.

As for Gardone. I thought that was a proofing mark/house more so than a brand/model. If anyone can shine a light on this i'd appreciate it.

How much are you being asked for these rifles?

    Cass,
Gardone Val Trompia is a town in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, Italy.
"It is well known for being the base of the major small arms manufacturers FAMARS and Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta. Among several regional makers of replica black-powder firearms (A. Uberti, Srl., Chiappa Firearms) the Davide Pedersoli company leads in production of over 75 types of historical black powder muzzle loading and breech loading firearms and is also known as the dominant brand in black-powder shooting competitions world wide."

Here is a list of their current rifle models:http://www.sabatti.com/lista.php?gruppo=4&categoria=8

pitty i did'nt see that gun back then. prob gone now. no sight's with this one.If i taught there was not a lot between them i'd go for the sabatti it has a nicer stock with a recoil pad.

@ Double Barrel - Cheers for that. I remember being told a while ago about Gardone, but i was told it's only referred to in terms of proofing. There is not an actual gun called the Gardone. Or is there? Just curious is all.

@ Snipe - If you want someone to give you an "answer" and if have your head stuck on those two only, then i'd go with the Sabatti. You seem to prefer it, it suits better, and in terms of accuracy they are a decent rifle and as good as CZ (from the few models i've used/fired).

Just make sure it's a rifle you can live with everytime you use it/look at it. It'll be with you for a while.

No model with the moniker "Gardone" by Sabatti that I am aware of.
