I cannot catch anyone in my league. They are making the most ridiculous transfers in and getting paid off for it!

One lad brought in fcuking Giroud! 1 goal in last 7 games...great form on which to bring him in to your team.

Another lad had fcuking Ki for Sunderland. 12 points!

Man up Futureguy! Pull yourself together man!

Giroud wasn't such a bad transfer considering arsenals fixtures and lack of striking options. Ki is an ultra cheap mid who has shown promise and has been touted a lot on ffs, I can understand the thinking behind both.

I know, it's frustrating. Coupled with the fact that a huge number of bandwagons have worked this year. I would guess there's a fairly high number of casual players in the top 50k atm. My rival has never finished highly (finished 378k last season!) and yet he's destroying me this time around. Can only be good for the game though! Keeps people interested for longer, makes work leagues more exciting etc.

63, disappointed to drop around 16k places to 118k, but could have been worse with only 10 players fielded. On the plus side, won my cup match 63-62.

56 (-4) leaves me at 224k and a drop of about 60k, however the wildcard is still intact. Below the actual average of 57 is a bitter pill but I think it's time I become pro-active. 4 red arrows in 5 since I momentarily broke the top 100k is the ultimate tease.

I'm up to 119'000, my highest since week 4. Next stop is 100k and hopefully I won't look back from there.

I said that a month ago, ah the innocence I had back then. I wish you well and hopefully I'll join you there soon.

73 (-4) steady around 7,516. Been stuck here for about a month now, Hazard Suarez Rooney Aguero (when they were fit) Coleman & Terry been my solid score-getters. I made the right calls at the right time this season. Swapped Sturridge for Suarez even though Studge was flying at the time. Got Hazard in at 9.0 and Aguero early doors as well. Resisted the temptation to get rid of Coleman when he was having poor returns and despite downgrading my defence held onto JT

I have changed my thinking this year. All the players above I got in with the view to having them for the full season. They all gained in price nicely and I can rotate in and out regardless how these guys are goin. Now injury obviously ment I had to move a couple of them on but so did everybody else so was not too upset. Point is, it is important to have a solid spine from early in the season. WC in the early stages crucial as well

Another week where I've gotten off to a flyer on Sat but Sun/Mon seen me fall back to the pack. It's happened a few times now and my schoolboy error of not going with the pack for Captain has really killed me.
Thanks for the stats Rory, they really hit home the value of every single point, a lesson I hope to build on next year.

52 points on Sat night was looking great at the time, finished on 76 in total.

Went from 348k to 303k (after reaching 235k on Sat)
Still plenty of time to keep chipping away but my hand may be forced into something a little different in a while... and that is re changing the team around, I won't be looking for my difference in my captain....

Finished 283k last year after being a very casual player.... beating that by 150k is minimum requirement really. About 50 off that at present.

I don't think I'm keeping Ozil longterm; not on that performance anyway.

DOwngrading him to Ramsey after the Fulham game, then going to use the extra money to upgrade Oscar -> Hazard and Negredo to Aguero. Definitely gonna be worth it.

Regarding Giroud and Arsenals lack of striking options, it's been like that since the start of the season. He's their only striker and he is pretty poor at that.

Ki has 1 goal and 1 assist all season. The one time he actually plays him (Rooney injured), he runs riot. Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't score again this year. The timing couldn't have been better for him :D

Yep, the bandwagons have been ridiculously profitable this year. Nothing that can be done.

I'm 105 behind the leader but am going to focus my attentions on second and the 300 prize. 43 points.

After finishing 1st and 3rd the last two seasons, I offered 5/2 to anyone in Gibraltar to beat me this year. Bit of banter but with all the bookies over here a number of them took me up on the offer based purely on the value, not realising how much time you have to put into the game. Think it's a fairly safe bet tbh. Fairly hefty 4 figure swing depending on where I finish! Luckily only one lad is currently ahead of me and based on his history and transfers I'm confident of catching him. He's in the top few thousand atm but didn't even have Suarez as captain last week

81 points,up to 82,000 ,10 green arrows in a row, captain suarez kept me in the cup even though i was against a ghost team, he has pushed the most of the ghost teams down the rankings as very few of them have him

He's the 2nd highest scoring currently fit striker (4th overall and way cheaper than the other 3 above him) coming back from a rest with favourable fixtures in a team going for the title.

    It's hardly an aimless punt.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I wouldn't worry, I was way back in 548k in GW5 and battled my way up to 125k by GW13. Once I broke the 100k barrier I took a few risks (but not on captaincy!) and have had 7/8 green arrows since to push me up to 27k. There's still plenty of time to reach your goal, but if I was you I'd start taking a few risks like trebling up on Arsenal defenders... I'd rather finish 500,000th after taking some risks than 100,001st :)
