I think the general consensus is that Man City will go with one up front but it may be wrong. Think they had two up top away to Fulham.

Oscar is another tricky one, I've read Chelsea fans saying that Hazard might not play or Oscar. I don't know if Jose would change two after the performance v Liverpool. I'd say there's a good chance one won't start.

Are you landed with Dzeko because of injuries busts? I remember you saying it was a one gameweek gamble, I was tempted to join you but resisted the urge for a finish.

I have quite a strong team on paper today, I've capitulated and brought Coleman back in, seemed stupid not to have Everton coverage at the back so I transferred Jags out for the safest option, Distin is a doubt for today, I'm half sorry now though because what I didn't factor in is that Everton will be much weaker at the back without Jagielka.

    Mannone
    Coleman, Mert, Terry
    Januzaj, Walcott, Hazard, Yaya
    Lukaku, Suarez, Negredo

    Bannan, Ollson, Vlaar.

If it was me I'd go Dzeko. More chance of him even coming on and scoring.

Kept faith in Rooney playing,he's needed for the Spurs game.

4 point hit due to so many injuries decimating my team, hopefully Santi doesn't just deliver on Xmas eve.Took a chance on Negredo today as it's not an exact science predicting the City attacking lineup.
Like 99% of people I've captained Suarez but I'm wary as Hull have one of the meanest defences around.

    ..................Manonne.............

    ......Shaw....Coleman....Gabbidon.....

    ..Walcott....Yaya....Cazorla(v)...Oviedo..

    .....Suarez(c)....Negredo....Rooney.....

I have two deffo non starters, Silva and Clarke. Also have to possible injuries, Rooney and Walcot.
But also have Hazard who could well be rotated. No doubt there will be a few selection suprises as the day progresses.

But feck it, I am turning off the ipad and phone....will watch MOTD tonight ignorant of what all the results are and will take what comes!
This is the new 2014 chilled out Trigger.

Hazard is carrying chelsea these days, can't see him not starting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,962 ✭✭✭Hogey007

hoping that my 4 point hit to bring in coutinho for ozil pays off, he only has 5% ownership.
i should have 11 unless there's a few big surprise exclusions again today.
I have whittingham, and shaw on my bench if Rooney or walcott fail to make it although i fully expect both to play. I also have morrison there but doesn't like he'll play if i needed my 3rd sub.

yeah i agree, and it's a tricky away game where a bit of brilliance from hazard might be the difference. chelsea don't really have strikers they can rely on so i'd imagine the chances of dropping their most in form player in what will be a very tight game are slim.

I had planned on benching dzeko for this GW( Im wildcarding today) and doing oscar to silva. But silvas suspension stopped that and increased the chances of dzeko starting. I did morrison to sterling with my FT.
    Anyway team today
    Davis
    Terry Ollson johnson
    walcott cabaye hazard sterling
    dzeko suarez(C) rooney
    bench oscar dawson clyne.
I'd prefer your team for today though especially if rooney is out.

FFS team news article reckon Morrisson may not even travel.

I swapped him out for Mutch. Didn't want to spend more than 4.5 and he was due to rise. Might make a few pound from him before I wildcard in three GWs.

very good shout on mutch. cardiff have a nice string of home fixtures coming up.
i would have liked to have got rid of morrison too but i really wanted rid of vlaar and also to get arsenal defensive cover and then with ozil being out i took the opportunity to do a double transfer of mert and coutinho in for vlaar and ozil for a 4 point hit.
means morrison had to stay put but with a bit of a gap to the next game hopefully it'll have become clearer if he's staying at west ham and if he's fit. if not he'll gone as soon as i get a spare transfer or wildcard.

He was poor against Arsenal and Ben Arfa can always slot into his place.

Jesus, i may not even field 11 if this is true, bad Xmas period for me this year.

Milner is my 5th mid so on the bench. Worth a 4pt hit to get him out for Sterling in case Hazard or Walcott don't start?

Hazard is like an energizer bunny. Dude never looks tired. With cup games up next and PL games not for another 10 days I reckon most players speculated for a rest today will play and be rested for the fa cup.

Rooney trained all of Monday according to his Facebook. So hopefully Moyes is bullsh1tting.

Yeah, I read that but it linked to a story on the west ham site as the ref, and if you read the article it doesn't mention Ravel at all.

    I've a feeling he'll start.

For me, top players have a game where you think "whoa, he's arrived" where they shift from good to great.

Hazard did that in the Sunderland game for me. He was unplayable.

Aguero and Suarez are getting the plaudits because they score big but Hazard has been unreal this year.

I can see Madrid and Barca calling after the World Cup.

All moyes said was that rooney didnt train yesterday. If he has a slight groin problem that makes total sense the day before a game. Id be very surprised if he doesnt play.

The lad has put Chelsea on his back this season alright. Will take big money to prise him away. Should also really take an injury to have him not play. No point resting him for a tricky away fixture when he can have a nice long rest after today's games.

    My team for this GW:

    Mannone
    Mert Terry Coleman Ward
    Hazard Cabaye Walcott (vc)
    Suarez (c) Rooney Lukaku

Harper, Mutch, Ben Turner, Silva (suspended).

I've had green arrows since GW10, all my transfers and hits have worked out superbly, I've won my work manager of the month for November and December... the run has to end sometime and I can see today being it. That said, I've 7 of the FFS scout picks, plus Ward who made their bench, so I'm still hopeful.

I toyed all week with the idea of Lukaku to Negredo so my one hope is that Negredo doesn't score big. I was all set for the move until Lukaku scored Sunday and pulled the 3 bonus as well.

I have worries about Negredo's playing time over January with City's fixture congestion due to the Carling Cup.

Saw in a few places that PSG are very interested in him for this transfer window. So perhaps Newcastle don't want to risk the huge money they may be getting for him. Swapped him out for Henderson.

Last minute gamble of fletcher in for Giroud to ensure I'd at least 11. Risky player to bring in but I'm in gambling mood.

Happy new year and best of luck to everyone.

Two orange flags today mean if they don't play 2 sh***y defenders come in with possibly - 1 each. Swapped Dzeko for Podolski. Thought Dzeko wouldn't play. Now it seems he will. Crap

It was to be expected with Silva out for this game. Expect Dzeko to drop to the bench on Silva's return unless he performs brilliantly in the Swansea game.

This is more than fine for me. 2 goals today followed by me getting the .2 increase on him I need to make a lovely extra .1 for my wildcard.
