My girlfriend always kisses me when I brush my teeth, so I stopped brushing my teeth unless absolutely necessary. Feckin' eedjit hasn't copped it yet.

    You're bold.

Bit presumptuous isn't it? How do you know it isn't their girlfriends who dont want to snog?

We'd still kiss on the lips every day but wouldn't score/shift/feek … one thing always leads to another…

feaking would be popular term with the young ones in south Armagh, but we'd mostly say shifting. When i went to university one of my friends thought shift meant ride which let her to believe for the first couple of weeks of uni that every one where big sluts esp when the morning after conversations of how many did you shift last night. I know around Derry and Tyrone curting would be the term they'd use the shift

Ha, long term? I didn't even snog my last ONS. No joking.

When I tried to. She said she 'wanted to be fcuked, not kissed'.

My husband very rarely kisses me unless we're in bed. I hate it.

Oh, just to add, I do kiss him but you start to feel a bit **** when the other person never really initiates it.

No kissing rule. Like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman?!

That's the problem with paying for such services, they don't like the intimacy of kissing because they're strict professionals.

*sorry, it was too easy :pac:*

Married, plenty of mooching goes on, outdoors, indoors ...keeps us smiling. The idea of dislike for pda's doesnt exist here nor should it. Keep on mooching.

How many OHs will be uncharacteristically kissed and attended to on foot of this thread?

    ...leading to suspicion and paranoia.

No good deed goes without an equal misdeed... maybe.

Not a new word. I'd say it's just a coming of age thing. Scoring sounds like something you do as a teenager behind the bike shed...shifting is the real deal. I'm surprised there isn't a new word for it though. I've heard of feaking but that seems to be limited to county Galway.

Scoring is something posh Dubliners do. It was meeting when I was in school, but I hated that, so shift was a welcome change. As the poster said a lot of younger Dubliners first start hearing it when they make friends from the country. Always said snog when I was a kid in my house, not really outside it. I like the word myself, even though it's English slang.

My husband and I kiss every day. We've been together for 17 years now. I can't imagine not wanting to kiss him. Not kissing would be a clear sign that something was wrong in our relationship.

I still fancy my husband as much as the first day I met him over 18 years ago so yes of course we still kiss and he still makes me feel weak at the knees when he kisses me.

Married since 1971 and thank God, we still kiss everyday, hold hands, and love each other as much if not more than we did almost 43 years ago.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,351 ✭✭✭NegativeCreep

I'm kinda with this girl for a year now and we still snog on occasion. Usually when we've had a few and obviously before and during shagging. Don't know if that's technically what you'd call "long-term" but it's long enough for me :L

The discussion here is about "snogging" or kissing with tongues. When you say you kiss your partner everyday, do you mean with tongues?

I feel like a right perve now. :o
