I don't want to know the answer to that question. Would have to request an over 30's forum if that was the case.

You can only be young once, but you can be immature forever!

Maybe try one of the forums in Religion and Spirituality? Great craic there :) Really easy-going bunch.

I'm 39 but have been assured by countless women / transvestites / good lucking sheep that I have a mental age of 12.

Yup...slagging off God / god in the Christian/Islam place can be fun. Quoting old testament thunder and lightening to the atheists is far better craic. I'm sure that has never been done in reality though.
Oh...the cycling forum is designed for people too lazy to engage in real road rage. Site bans are a sorry side effect.

I can't imagine using this forum in twenty years time. Surely elderly people have better things to do, like mowing the lawn or cleaning ornaments?

No lawn and sold all the ornaments for drink money.

What the OP needs to do is venture off onto StormFront or something like that and then he'll see the value of places like AH. For all the negative things one can say about it it is a little corner of the net I have a soft spot for.

    Mowing the Lawn

    Polishing Ornamnets

If these are "Double Entendres" I like your style!!!

I believe in growing old disgracefully

Age and experience counts for everything.

It's makes it easier to correct the mindless drivel that pops up all too often.

No lawn and sold all the ornaments for drink money.

Then buy a brown jacket and a handbag and walk around your local town dressed as Roy Cropper.

Age is just a state of mind. I'm 69 and can visit AH and still get the gardening and housework done. I've more time to do so than most of you, I suspect.
AH and it's often frustrating arguments is great craic.

    You're only young twice!

A woman walked up to the barman and asked for a double entendre.

    So he gave her one!

Yup, what we need is an After hours for over 30s. Min post count of 1000 to get in and invitation only. Kids and newbies not welcome.
Doubt I would get invited though.

Fair play to them, better to try and get your head around technology and try to learn than ignore it.
They would probably laugh at our attempts to figure out pre decimal currency.

If I were rich I'd probably end up like Patsy from Absolutely Fabulous. I like the idea of living on ciggs and Bollinger and aging disgracefully. Haven't smoked for 7 years though.

On the contrary, AH is often a fish barrel of eye-wateringly youthful folly that is often best viewed through the increasingly choleric and jaundiced eye of middle age.

Whenever I feel too old for AH I just take some time away and regenerate. It works wonders because AH at times can feel like a circle of repetitiveness.

The collective mental age of all AH users is around 50 +\-1yrs.

Or actually going out and seeing the world and opening your mind? Something a lot of AH people need to do. Its like the 1950s in here.

Can be a tricky business mind you. For a while I was a woman on here(that was well weird). Then a hippy, then an angry bastid. I'm aiming for blonde beach bum next time around. (679. These days life is great craic. The 1700 were a right effing borefest let me tell you. Constantinople in the mid 1800's was fun though).

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

OP has a point.. at 38 I feel like I'm probably in that older than most of the posters in AH group if some of the threads and replies are anything to go by.

Or maybe I'm just not cool anymore .. nah, I was never cool! :P

I just redouble my postings .......... start acting like a teenager and get banned. Very character building and good for the soul.
