So what kind are you? Is using that CD Player nowadays in public ok to you, or do you only tell your closest friends that you have a Sony Xperia L smartphone, one that the rest of the Irish masses seemed to ignore. Or do you rigorously adhere to what your own peergroup does, or whatever clique you are in?

I always try to have the XBOX1/PS4/ phone my friends have. I follow their clothing trends.

I'm in the doctors wearing a string vest, dungarees and a duffel coat.

    What do you think?

I use a stereo tape adapter to play my iPod through my car stereo I like the look of the stock stereo in the car and unfortunately it has a tape deck instead of a CD player. I hide it when I see cool people :p

Everyone will vote for the second option but in reality, doesn't go that way at all

Plus OP your poll isn't great,

what about the PC Masterrace? What if you have a phone cause you like the phone? What if you buy the phone thats "in" due to the specs being what you need, big screen easy to root, flashable? What if you match the first three but no fashion sense?

    I still watch VHS videos.

    Posted from my Commodore 64.

My father is the worst for this. He decided it was a much better investment to buy a beetamax video instead of VHS. So when everyone was renting videos from xtravision, we had to make do with the sh*te that we recorded off the telly. Saying that though it must have lasted about 15 years even with all of the abuse that we gave it.

Another time, I asked for a playstation for xmas. They guy in the shop convinced him that the Nintendo 64 was a far better machine - fair enough, pretty decent. However, he didn't get a game with the console so when I opened it up on xmas morning, all I had to look at for 4 days was a grey box. Nothing was open until the 29th December. Still though Zelda was class, once I got it.

    Blame porn,

Betamax was superior to VHS but porn was released on VHS so it took over.

If a CD walkman wasn't really irritating, I'd probably still own one. However I like going for a brisk walk without my music skipping and jumping constantly.

Hello, Hello, Hello, Yeah , Yeah... Are you there ? Hello.

Sorry I was talking on my Bluetooth headset there.

Why do some people still use these things, and why is it always when they are in a shop in front of you.

I change my phone about once a year and my laptop about every 2 years (3 years maximum) because I like having the highest specification for the devices I can get, seeing as I use them so much, and it's nice to see how they are evolving.

It's ridiculous to think that a choice like that would be informed by fashion.

To be fair, zany types that ostentatiously hold on to very old technology are making far more of a fashion statement than people that update their technology regularly.

As regards other technology like TVs and whatnot, I wouldn't really care. My current TV is about a year old but I'll use it for as long as it lasts.

Something about the thinking behind this thread annoys me.

who would really give a flying fvck what people think about them having a cd player.

    and your car is 2012.

fvck that whole demographic of insecure little bitches.
biggest problem is which mobile phone. FFS
