God damn it Ted, The Lunatic Lair isn't even a week old yet and you're already wrecking more havoc than me and Seph combined

    Eh, you did?

Whats this "pick on ted day"?

I left them behind the sofa's s, beside a box of adult magazines marked "Seph stuff"

If you don't mind me asking, how are they taking advantage?

I've signed off (suspended my claim) because I'm getting a few weeks together. I got the rota today and I'm off from the 27th to 2nd January. They probably won't pay me and I can't sign back on for a week and sign off again so I think they're basically expecting me to have no money for a week. On top of that I'm working Christmas Day in the afternoon for 2 hours, 2 hours morning and evening AND on call for Stephens' Day. I live 30 minutes away and can't drive myself yet so my I have to rely on my Mam. They knew all this. Maybe I'm overreacting but it's a bit sh1tty. :(

How long have you been withholding this information about adult magazines stashed in the loony lair?

Who in turn, emptied them into a bag marked swag, and is now in The Coombe, dressed in Pretty Polly and imitation Jimmy Choos, pretending he's in labour to avoid a burly copper asking him all sorts of awkward questions.

Sorry paws in all the madness here missed your post.

Do the managers / whoever is in charge know that commuting, especially over Christmas is not easily feasible for you? Even if they can compromise on you only covering one day as a worst case scenario. It may have been a simple oversight.

They do. I've told them that if I'm on call I would be able to get over to the clinic but only if it was like a life or death type emergency. They know I'm relying on my mother for transport. At the end of the day, I'm not a permanent employee and I live 30 minutes away, am I wrong in feeling a bit peed off here?

Might not be advisable in the long term

Is there anyone you could swap shifts with, dont know how many people are there.

As long as they know that you're only on call for emergencies on Stephens day, and cant drop everything & be there at the drop of a hat

I'm not sure. There are only two nurses, I'm filling in for one of them. I don't mind that so much tbh, it's the week that I don't have any hours that's worrying me. Might just have to suck it up.
