I've actually really not played it that much at all. Not because I don't love it, simply to avoid burnout and at 65 quid a game I can't afford to blast through games left, right and centre :pac:

You can, From the top menu, Notifications > Downloads.
Not sure about pausing them though, i didnt try to. But i did knock off the ps4 half way through a download, and it resumed next time i turned it back on.


Over all im really liking the UI and how fast everything is, and the store being instant load up.

Something i dont like is how when i start to download a game, it goes around 5meg for the first few minutes, and then gradually slows down to a crawl at something under 1meg. Only fix is to log out and back in to get the speed back for another 10/15 mins and then repeat.
I used to get the same problem on the ps3 ever so aften aswell... I ran the "test connection" in PS4 network options, and was getting 25-down, 7-up earlier though, alot more then the ps3 ever picked up for me.

Graphics are real nice too, iv been playing KZSF all evening, on chapter 5. Only thing i dont like with it (graphically) is the FXAA there using, blurring and smudging up the image up alittle. I know FXAA is alot less taxing then other forms of AA.. but damn, i hope its not used in every ps4 game.

my pain problem is not being notified when friends come online. i have about 30 friends online on average and its a very lonely place as i have no idea if someone i regulary play with is online unless i go all the way to the firends list(take a good few clicks) then through 30 odd people...on ps3, it was just so simple

is FIFA good on it, Ive been hearing mixed reports about it not being that good? I am getting PS4 based on fifa so im hoping its worth it now?

@Marky91 .You can be guaranteed that feature will be added (friend notifications). Is there any word on when the next firmware will drop ?

Plus, there is a "eject" button, i realized yesterday ^^

The speaker in the controller frightned the life out of my yesterday.
Was really apprehensive about the PS4 but it was easy set up and everything seems to work. There's a piece in the Metro today comparing the PS4 and Xbox one, heavily biased towards the Xbox imo but then again I'm heavily biased to the PS4.

Have yet to play any online multiplayer and need to get a fix for my TurtleBeach but so far so good.

Quick question lads tried to stream tv from putlocker and I get plugin missing do need to download stuff like when the ps3 was started.

As for first impressions great graphics, controller is great a lot more sturdy I do miss my start and select button. Where we not supposed to get driveclub free from PSN.

Drive Club was delayed till next year, it will be free for the Plus Edition when it does come out and a retail version.

Absolutely loving it although some of it as about potential right now.

Got the megabundle with the camera and while it doesn't do much just yet, the kids love the AR robots. I do love the face recognition for logging in. With the PS3, my kids would log in as me and play some of my games messing with some of the save games. Very annoying but they can't any more.

Voice recognition is cool too.

I think the new XMB is much improved. I used to forget about games I had downloaded but they highlight a lot more with the larger icons and scrolling left to right instead of up and down.

I love the potential for the second screen, have used this on Assassins creed and can't wait to see what the future holds for it.

Another thing good with the app is using it to send screenshots to, from the ps4. Instead of having to use facebook/twitter. Plus the pics have less compression and better quality when saved to a tablet/phone from the app, rather then through FB/twitter.

I sent this pic from my PS4, to an alt psn account through a psn message, and opened and saved it on my tablet through the playstation app, and then moved it to my pc, to upload and host.
