Got access to electricity and water? It's always the right time. Although I can't condone this in any way.

Their Germans, they can only take it seriously.

Depends. You need a bulb, refelector and a ballast unit.

400w should be enough and they're widely available on adverts.ie etc.

A hundred quid should cover it.

When I got busted in Germany they were very serious about not prosecuting me, I even got an official letter for the Justizamt.

@chopper: In these times of austerity and saving the environment it's all about CFLs and LEDs :p

They cost a fortune though. there were some pretty nifty setups on overgrow.com (now defunct) back in the day which showed how to do it with lower powered systems. HPS has amazing penetration but you can do it with lower powered bulbs if they're smaller and nearer the palnt.

Can you get Lung Cancer from smoking weed? Whats the health difference between smoking rolly loose tobacco and weed. They're both plants that you're inhaling, Genuine question. (excuse my ignorance if its there :pac:)

Agreed about the price, plus they have a huge heat signature which can bring it's own problems for the clandestine grower.

Flourescents technically will do the job for the vegetative growth stage but they dont have a complete light spectrum and you'd need lots of them to make it work.

What other kind of bulbs have you heard people using?

@deft: Probably yes, there have been lots of studies on this - with conflicting results. Remember they put loads of chemicals into tobacco too, which makes it worse.

@chopper: You can get 6400k cfls and 2400k cfls, tailored to give the right spectrum. I heard of one Irish lad in DIT that ended up getting a job with NASA researching plant hydroponics! All of his experiments were of course done with Tomatos (yeah right lol).

You can get lung cancer without ever having smoked anything in your life...tobbaco mixed with dope is probably more dangerous than straight cigarettes because most people dont use a filter for a roach so the smoke is hotter and more laden with carinogens.

and that would be my defence in court if busted growing a couple of plants??

as i said already, it will be ok to grow soon enough i reckon, as soon as sativex hits the shelves for MS it will be open season for home growing that will dwarf the uptake in grow systems when head shops came in, mark my words

i wouldn't have believed it if i hadn't seen it, smelt it and smoked it myself but it's possible to grow 2 auto-flower plants in a wardrobe with only 7 x 20w tesco own brand CFL bulbs, 140w of power in total!! no reflector, ballast etc needed :)

Is it legal to sell seeds in Ireland?

Is it legal to sell seeds in Ireland?

AFAIK seeds are legal for souvenir purposes only, germinating them though is illegal

Is it legal to sell seeds in Ireland?

Yes. It's actually also sold as a health food, and as food for birdies in petshops. These would not be the auto-feminised drug hybrids that you would want for other purposes tho.

So not just for souveneir purposes. You can press them to extract the oil should you suddenly find a need to anoint the next messiah too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemp_oil Note: not the same as hash oil, not illegal.

edit: Mother of god, you can even run your car on this stuff.

I think its legal to buy seeds, BUT:

Lets take for example, there are many websites that sell Weed Seeds:
They are most likely run by Authority related.
    The information will be stored,

Now, in the future or what may happen would be regarding, if you start to selling weed, so you would of course need to buy lots, which they would stored, I would guess that they do scans and checks in general... And this is in my opinion (one of the ways) of how they catch sellers.(remember, that's just one way to catch).

The other thing is, the postage may need to go trough customs, which if they detect ( most likely) they may make a note of it.

Resulting in general, you ending up on some list.

What I'm trying to say is, just be careful and always think, if you start taking up levels.

I myself, don't smoke weed but am happy for the people who do.
