They sell for about €12k, he's only swapped it because it's an easier sale.

Id say you're wrong, besides even if he gets 11 or 10.5 he's laughing as that was asking on his car.

Clever move in my opinion Cleveland, it'll work out for you quicker for definite and possibly better :)

    Will be interesting to see...

Potential buyers might be scared off as to why current owner only owns it a couple of weeks

previous owner could have sold the superb the 12k then bought the 535 for 10k but he didnt......

hopefully all goes to plan though and you make a profit

Good call on the swap for the superb.

You have gotten rid of a niche car after having your fun for a very easy to sell mainstream car that won't attract as many timeswaster types.

    However I can't picture you driving a RX8

    B6/B7 S4 or a E39 M5 maybe though

Got a puncture, my 8 year old son could hear it when he got out of the car and told me "your tyre is going flat" so off to tyre land to get it sealed, it was good enough to get me to work, using a kind of yellow gunk. Anyone any experience of this and should I be looking to Change the tyres ASAP?

From what I've read on here from previous users, that yellow gunk will cost you at the tyre centre. A cleaning fee was mentioned.

    Cheers, it cost €10

    That's the plan.
I went to sheehy motors and they reckoned it should be listed at 15 and achieve 14. The equivalent they had was 17950-albeit from a dealer with warranty.

I dont particularly have to realise 12-13k from the superb. I need 10k.
The cheapest ROI superb TDI 2010 on donedeal is 12k and has more miles than mine.
My one also has full service history.

Glad to see some people can see the logic behind my decision.

The Superb is funny money. I'd pick a Passat over the Superb any day, but I would buy a Superb if I was going brand new.

When bring a car in from the uk where the speedo only reads mph and not both. Do you have to change the speedometer for one that reads km before they will re reg it. Or does it matter as a lot of the skodas from the uk just read mph on the speedo. I'm just curious as I remember reading something on here about it but it seems like a lot of work.

Actually, today I was busy so sent the girlfriend into the local motor factors for an air filter for the e60.

They asked her for €60

I know it's quite a filter but I've got it for €21 before in two different factors.

Sounds like they were trying one over on the girl!

I know, the oem costs €38 from the dealers! Another factors in Tullamore near them quoted €30.

Needless to say I'll never be in the door again!!

I also agree that I doubt your the guy to suit an rx8, only from a personality view, an s4 sounds perfect :)
    Or a supra :)

That's mad. Although most places that have anything to do with car parts will over charge if they think the person is not car knowledgable and they can get away with it. Although ever time I but parts for my focus I feel like I'm being robbed there far more expensive for parts when compared with Opel and vw etc that's main dealer prices and motor factors. A fuel filter for my car is 90 euro with 12.5% discount no joke. And I compared main dealers that's what they all charge. At time I was stuck for the part but even since I've looked and non ford ones are 60 euro.

Seems ridiculous for a 1.6 diesel at least your talking about a 530 When I had the astra I used to go in the local Opel dealer who are sound out buy an air, oil and fuel filter and have a fair bit of change left out of 50 euro I miss them days big time :( anyway hoping to get the focus serviced tomorrow although I'm snowed under in assignments. Have all the parts got since last weekend just need the time now.

Thats not what i mean atall :)

Shure anyone who met me wouldn't think i drive a hatchback.

My real reason for suggesting them is that i want to see one up close and get a spin as they are 2 of the 3 next on my hit list
