    Hi guys,

    Quick question:

Has anyone tried to use a discount code on MyProtein's Irish site (https://ie.myprotein.com)?

I've been trying to apply the 10% discount code they emailed this morning but it doesn't work (it does, however, work on the UK site but that doesn't give an option of shipping to IReland).

    Cheers

PS: Yes, I've emailed MyProtein already about this but still waiting on reply and need a quick answer. Thanks again.

    Quick update...

    Just heard back from MP.

It turns out that the code I'd been sent was UK-specific. I don;t know how I'd done it, but it seems that I'd signed up to UK newsletters. Dealt with someone on the Live Chat function and I got an Ireland discount.

I think the problem is that a lot of people signed up with myprotein when it only had the uk option for residence. So when you sign in it thinks you are a UK customer.

So the key is not to sign in, click the Irish flag, add all your products and go through the purchase process. Only sign in when it is asking about payment and groupie15 should work no problem.

    tried that, but doesn't work:
The discount code you entered is not an active offer.

60SPECIAL - 20% off orders of £60 or more. Also worth mentioning that they are offering free delivery to Ireland now.

Anyone know why its €4.95 for standard delivery yet free for tracked delivery? Surely it should be the other way around?

It's just how they've set up the free delivery until the end of February.

Yah. After Crimbo got me 15kg of performance enhancing powder at 25% discount.

Then they made it even cheaper. And were generally doing my nut with such devilish offers.

Protein powder is food. If your under 18, and your parent don't approve of you taking supps, how will they react when they see a big tub of strange powder in your closet.

Sometimes you need to put IE after the offer but really does my head in when you try and buy a product that says its 25% off etc... and it won't apply it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,042 ✭✭✭will56

    Just an FYI for people:
Due to MyProteins quicker dispatch you can't cancel an order outside of about 1hr/90 minutes as it will have been processed and dispatched.

code: REVEAL is giving me 30% off.......it says up to 30%, but i tried a few times and it was always 30%..

also code: MATTY10 always gives 10% off, if no other codes are available.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,042 ✭✭✭will56

I used my reveal code after going through Quidco and got 7% cashback.

Might be a fluke but it seems to be tracking through

I've noticed that the price per kilo for the regular Impact whey protein has crept up recently.

Also, they are very definitely price discriminating against Irish/Euro paying customers. Even applying Irish VAT rates and other costs (not delivery because we pay a charge) there is still a huge mark up on Euro customers. This practise contravenes EU trading laws. I tried sending an email in this regard but got a time out message when trying to send it. I'll try again...

Has anyone else noticed the increases (even ignoring the 'discounts'). Has anyone contacted MyProtein?

Haven't noticed it yet myself was going to order 5kg impact whey later, wheres cheapest now bulk powders?

Do Discount Suppliments normally match myprotein? I see on their site they have a "found it cheaper button"?

Putting in an order and with the birthday 25% off "EXTRA25", the order is coming in a lot cheaper than them. Would prefer to pop around to Discount and support them but they need to come close to what I can get from MyProtein.
