    Monday 11th April - Rest

Don't think I was the only one glad not to be out running today. A truly horrible 24 hours weather wise.

    Tuesday 12th April - 7m Easy
    7m @ 8:48p/m average (131bpm avg)

Car trouble meant my route was altered, which ended up suiting somewhat as I didn't need to add a couple of extra miles to the end of my normal run home from work.

    Wednesday 13th April - 7m (with 2m @ MP)

Tried my best to run this by feel, keeping the two MP miles between 150-160bpm. More uncomfortable than I'd like but I never feel that good in the days preceding a race, including when I've run pb's.

    W/u (2m) - 8:38 (122bpm), 8:35 (129bpm)

    MP 1 - 6:35 (155bpm)
    MP 2 - 6:37 (159bpm)

    C/d - (3m) - 8:19 (135bpm), 8:40 (134bpm), 8:36 (132bpm)

So that's just about it from me, apart from a couple more short recovery runs tomorrow & Friday. I may not bother with them though, as I've a lot going on and forcing them in may do more harm than good. If I fit them in, so be it. The next run I'm definitely scheduled to turn up for is a boards Boston jog on Sunday morning to shake out the legs. Then it's 26.22m @ MP on Monday......

Loads of experience to draw on P. Run hard and enjoy the race.

    The form reads

    1111119 D5 30 11lb 7

Unbeaten as a novice in Europe ...a true stayer. Came a cropper last time out in US but form suggests improving type and can't be discounted. Carrying a few extra pounds this time out but proven over the distance . Likely to soften in the ring. Recommendation a score e/w @ Sp

    Best of luck horse !
