Awesome. Think I'll head down and run a sub-50 minute marathon.

A 10k marathon, eh? Brilliant. Reminds me of the time someone from the club was stewarding at the Mini Marathon, and some overweight wan with a bottle of beer in one hand and a fag in the other took exception to him telling her and her mates to stop clogging up the finishing chute and said something along the lines of: "Here. I'm after runnin' a mara-tin. You try doin' dat, grandad". She was talking to 2.38 man Gary Clarke, I think.

She set new a new World Marathon Record of 1hr45mins, I believe. Probably had a pub stop-off too, so make that a beer-marathon world's best as well.

Should be renamed to a "mini-10k"

Shut up the lot of you.

I've got better things to do at the moment. In the mean time go and have a read of the sunshine, lollipops and rainbows forum.

Rant: People who cannot wash their hands properly. Put the soap on first, then apply the water, which washes away most of the soap:rolleyes:

Running a race nearly two minutes quicker than last year, when I was a youngster and had beaten every old bloke in the field. Then this year and having my full old bloke qualification, but another faster and probably older bloke goes and beats me.

Legs now feeling a bit stiff so my chances of winning the old bloke prize in this evenings race are now also diminished. :(

My supplies of dodgy bottles of wine are getting drastically low.

A guy I used to work with always cycled straight from work to the Marlay Park concerts. He'd never have a ticket but would just go to the outside of the fence for a listen, maybe they thought you were him.
