Still regret not buying a metallic green body-kitted Manta in a local garage back about 1990.
must have been nuts, bought a 2litre Montego instead

My dad had a Jetta just like that, same colour and all. It was diesel and by God you could hear it coming from the next town over it was so noisy. Actually, he had two of them but the first one only lasted a month as it caught fire thanks to a faulty wiring loom.

that looks very well kept, sure there'd be years left in it :D

here's a few recent ones. The Nissan would appear to be an early Japanese import - square rear plate, wind deflectors etc.

The whole (ford) Escort scene over here is something that depresses me but it was nice to see one that wasn't on its arse wearing Minilites or whatever with the driver doing rings on the road thinking about his cousin

Got a loan of a neighbours Corolla today. Very original, 103,000 miles. New Test etc. 1.3, manual steering. Original mudflaps, which must be some kind of record :D

The silver one was parked in town tonight.

Corolla looks very original, love it. And the dealer rear plate to go with the mudflaps, deadly. Were the old Garda Corollas in that shade of blue?

Too dark a blue for the Gardai, I think. Didn't the Gardai ones colour fade really fast to a hazy sky blue?
Interior is immaculate, manual window winders etc. Real time warp stuff. Worthless in today's market unfortunately.

I wouldn't usually take photos of these but at 16 years old they'll certainly start to thin out in the future. The one on the right is mine and I just came across the other one at Woodies today, had to get a photo. I wondered if these two came from the dealership back in 98...

Also this..not technically "on the road" but worth a share anyway. I've passed this road everyday for as long as I can remember and only today turned down it to collect my brother from the barbers. 1981 Leyand Mini

^^^Sweet as a nut the 405. Looks absolutely fantastic!

It was gorgeous, really stunning. I was dropping my gf over to her embassy down the road after and passed a Citroen Ds which I never snapped, but tbh this really topped it

Also, around Malahide today; Volvo 262c coupe on ZV plates, W123 Merc, Austin 10 or something similar (bigger than a 7, dark blue with yellow glass?), Ford Zodiac and a Morris Minor convertible. Must have been some sort of show on or something

    Greystones over the weekend.
The Nissan looked very clean and is a regular driver
The 190 is an "Exclusiv" model, which was the Irish market version of the "LE" - (Limited Edition) which was the run out model. AFAIK only 1000 of this model were produced, in 3 colours, the blue as pictured, silver and a burgundy hue.
