Business has been slow lately; this is the only noteworthy oldie I've seen, a tidy Mk1 facelift Clio

The facelift was a cracking car for its size. Fun drive and extremely comfortable.

Thats right, they had lots of nice little extras such as steering wheel controls for the radio, electric windows (my 97 Corolla doesn't even have these) etc

That SL passed me on Charlotte Way last week. Couldn't get the camera out quick enough.

    Great spot with that 440.

Looks pretty high spec with the red details!

looked in good nick all round Duke, I was wondering if the "Xi" denoted anything special, in the way that the older BMW models with an X suffix are 4 wheel drive?
I do recall the 440 models having a GL, GLE and maybe a GLX trim level..

The Range Rover is an older classic 2 door but with bits from a later 4 door model - ie the bumpers, grill etc added to it.

Being a non CSK* 2 door suggests that it's a pre 85 car as I believe it was around 1984 the 2 door ceased production - and thus explains what looks like an old pre 87 Irish reg.

*limited edition 2 door thar was bought out in very limited numbers around 1990

Thanks for the info, and happy it is classic, and not the current model!!

Ah, I misread the reg, trying it again, yes an old Irish reg, Cartell says it's a 3.5L Rover

I’ve seen that Lexus about - older lady behind the wheel surprisingly!

    VID - Old Co.Cavan reg. 85/86

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,194 ✭✭✭✭Nekarsulm

I hope he never locks the centre diff in that Rangey.
Some difference in wheel size between back and front.
It looks like VIO rather than VID.
I think IID was the last of the old Cavan reg numbers, before they went to 86 CN whatever.
We had a Vauxhall Chevette from the late 1970's that was ZID 806.

    Yes, VIO
