I never ever

Bought anything off or used steam
Played WOW or any MMO
Finished a final fantasy game
Paid full retail price for any digital download game.
Played a 2D Castlevania

I am like that with magazines in FO new vegas. I have a massive stack of them back at my pad in the lucky 38.

- played FF, MGS or ... sadly, Morrowind.
- owned a console.
- Finished a Command and Conquer game.
- Used gems in Torchlight 1, because I'd have to combine them later.
- built a nuke in the Civ series and thought to myself "I'll just leave this here and only use it if I have to".
- Got drunk and bought something on Steam and later asked myself "WHY!?".... Nah, I wouldn't believe me either.

or in Skyrim's case anything early on that looks expensive, even though you'll find the same thing dozens of times throughout the game and it's worth feck all in the traders.

Rectify that, some of the finest games you'll ever play. Mario Galaxy 2 is worth owning a Wii for.

I don't have anything against it, I just never bothered. I'm Planning to get a Wii soon enough now that they're fairly cheap so we'll see.

When I was a kid I did it while going home in the car with my new game.

These days, handy having it for games when can't remember certain combos or when the onscreen icons don;t have clear explanations. Plus, doubles as toilet reading.

perhaps for Street Fighter only. Otherwise I prefer to blunder around and find my feet in almost any game (or rebind the keys )

I think I always felt that the manual spoiled some of the magic of the game..

I got screwed over with manuals/boxes before !

I remember renting MGS when it first came out, I couldn't get out of the base because the CODEC code was on the back of the case. Chartbusters obviously didn't give you the original case....
I was stuck for 2 days thinking I'd missed something until I bought the game

I'm a bogger. I used to get everything by mail-order, particularly as I was a bogger Mac gamer.

And yes the old cardboard boxes for PC/Mac games were awesome.

But even when I got my NES/Snes & PS the traditions were upheld.

It probably explains a lot about me all things considered

There was nothing better back in the day than getting a game, and getting a proper thick manual. Even for a real short or crap games, still got a proper manual. Not these days though

- Played Half Life 2 despite owning The Orange Box 4 different times. Only played TF2 and Portal
- Played Halo
-Owned any Nintendo console. Not even a GameBoy. Forgot, I did have a DS.
- Owned an Atari or C64 or anything.
- Finished a Resident Evil game despite owning 2, 4 & 5
- Played The Sims or pretty much any variation of it (Unless Theme Hospital counts)

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade came with an actual Grail Diary thing that was about 90 pages long, looked like it was handwritten and had coffee-rings litttered throughout it. Now that I did read.
