cull cows fairly dear yesterday in ennis for good ones, saw a massive black cow approx 800kg make €1850 euro

Great news. 4 to go next week. Have fed them a bit, so condition good.
It's a good year, to cull any poor performers or anything getting on in age.
Fed up with older cows. Slats and surrounded by younger pushier clients, are no help to them.
After this lot goes, my oldest will be 10 years, and that will be my cut off point in future.

But when the man from the government turns up, to do an inspection, and the first thing that greets him, is a nice shiney, slatted shed, he automatically, assumes things are in good shape in this place:cool:

i make sure calf pens are cleaned powerwashed and disenfected after each batch... having lost alot of calves a few years ago everything must be done right.

Have you the bullet that goes on the end of a POWER HOSE? Mighty job for unblocking drains.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    Super smuggler!!!!!

I brought a stash load of fireworks down to my sister who is married in cork. Cruising down the road just south of cork city and the cops were doing random checks for tax etc. They took a liking to me and asked me to open the boot...... the ****ers took over £200 sterling worth of rockets off me. Felt violated. They probably used them themselves....

I would make sure that lambing pens are kept clean and disinfected, but with adult animals I depend on their immunity. You're not going to get winter housing germ free anyway, more important to keep animals well fed and healthy to maintain immunity.

An Attachment you screw on to the hose instead of the gun and it propels the nozzle along clearing the pipe

Here's a good one fou yiz:
The Inra calf we had a few weeks back, the card hasn't returned yet but instead a notice that she cant be registered because no breed abbreviation exists. No amount of explaining will make them accept it even though the bulls AI code has been submitted. As a comprinise they suggest the calf be registered as a Charolais because Inra has a greater percentage of Ch in his pedigree than anything else.

same policy here, plenty of straw and a dash of lime on the floor and a metre high on the wall

some of our calf pens act as lambing pens in january , usually just clean out the straw and put down calf slats and a dust of lime

great believer here in self immunity ,
a healthy dam, and plently of colostrum immediately after birth and a dry draught free bed goes a long way

Pity they didn't confiscate the car as well:eek:
Those stupid fuookin things, have left some serious injuries behind, never mind all the animals they have spooked.
Should be a mega fine for anybody caught transporting, selling or using them.

I'll be lighting the sky with them next week anyway. Held a soft launch last night to see if they were duds and they're good to go
