when ours were young OH used to hide away a stock of 7up

pour a half glass and flatten it (pour it from 1 glass to another a few times )

give little sips little and often, will help to line the gullet and also stop dehydration,

glad she's over it quickly heard a few local kids had it for a few days

Wasn't much of a game. Can't say I noticed what Paul Galvin was wearing, but if you go on his website I'm sure he could sort ya out if ya were in the market. :-)

Unfortunately you won't save them all ..
And would be worse if it was a heifer calf.

Is the cow up and about after it

I have a bull with pneumonia, this sh1t always happens when the father is away on holidays. I don't know if he'll survive or not. The morning will tell a lot.
I can imagine the conversation when he comes home......

How did he go? loosing cattle to pneumonia make vaccination seem very cheap. Talking to a mate the other day and he reckoned he was going to loose 6 cattle out of a group of 8 he had bought recently. He slackened off on the vaccine front, expensive error as I learnt earlier in the year myself

Do you have a camera installed. Great investment. I have an IP camera up and running now. Can see the calves over the internet on my phone.
I just set the alarm on the phone at night now. Alarm goes off, click on the camera app on the phone. Back to sleep, or go to the shed.

Can you throw up details of your set up? Sounds like a very handy system, would like to get something like that installed.

He was still alive this morning, breathing easier. I gave him the 2 injections the vet left for me to give him. the vet arrived out to check if he was akright too. (The vet is a cousin of mine) The vet said it was because the group of bulls we have, have lung worm. Dosed them with a lamvaisile dose yesterday to stave off further cases before we house them. This is the first time we ever bought bulls, don't think we'll be doing it again.
