That's good news, however, their website says differently:

    https://www.eircom.net/tv/channels

    .
    There's more detail at
    https://www.eircom.net/tv/?pageversion=full
RTÉ One HD, RTÉ Two HD and TG4 HD are available free of charge to all customers able to receive HD channels.

Is it recording just one episode of Walking dead or every repeat

single episode which is strange as when true blood was on fox it taped each episode plus repeats.

Got a text this morning from Eircom offering free sky sports for a month. Happy days!! :)

    Me too.

Does it start straight away or is it for a calendar month?

Are there any catches to this offer? What notice do you have to give to cancel?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,914 ✭✭✭kooga

got no text today................however I did avail of the one month free sky sports in august, there is no catch just note the day you rang up for example today is the 23/10/14 and ring back before the 23/11/14.

just watch out that the sky sports is not added to your bill amount they did it to me rang them and got the amount credited.

Haven't ordered it yet but i'd imagine the deal will run for a week and the channels will be for 30 days. You would then have to cancel it the day before it expires to avoid being charged.

I forgot to cancel BT sports for 2 months  and when I explained it too them they actually refunded me all the money. Was very pleased. Very impressive service I must say.

On Sky sports I'm hearing a voice over ie. a commentary on the shows that aren't live. Very annoying. Anyone have this?

    Ehh, no they won't!

Ehh, as you put it, they did with me even though I was "a lucky customer" and picked for a free trial.

I've rang up loads of times about different offers. Never anything about having to sign a new contract. You don't have to sign up for a new contract if you don't want to.

I clarified it with them too but found out when "my eircom" finally got up and running that Eircom had put me on a new contract from the day they rang offering me a free trial of eVision.
