    All that money for your flight, you don't wanna spend it just on the aircraft do you?? Few extra hours around the terminal reading, plane spotting etc.

    There's a good reason for it. Crew member suffered a serious injury and replacement had to be brought over from the east coast. Wishing him a speedy recovery and a return to flying.

    From Dublin through JFK I thought?

    Crew member overnighting at JFK was positioned to SFO to replace the injured, and another positioned from Dublin to replace the JFK crew.

    Otherwise maintaining speed and altitude! :)

    What are the inflight procedures if radio comms are lost?

    PANS doc 4444:

    EAT = estimated approach time

    Follow the filed plan to destination and enter the hold at the designated Nav aid until descent to approach as close as possible to the latest acknowledged EAT; if no EAT has been received or acknowledged then approach as close as possible to Flight Plan ETA.

    Basically continue to destination by the route mentioned in the flight plan.

    Sorry to hear that, thought it was the aircraft again.

    Hearing a bit about uncontrolled airspace on the DUB feed tonight - any reason for this?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,930 ✭✭✭galwayjohn89

    Whats the story with the severe lack of Ryanair flights this evening/tomorrow morning? Is it because of NYE?

    Probably quiet and aircraft are being shortcut by UK, descent will take them into uncontrolled airspace.

    Stobart 92C was shortcut so left the airways so ATC will have to tell them where they are and about any known or observed traffic, you hear it occasionally when they are quiet.

    Anyone know what the aircraft of the west coast now is

    Thanks. This is as quiet as I've heard it, even on Christmas eve it didn't seem like this.

    Couple of EIs heading over irish sea for Dublin, but screenshot has only two planes, one for cork, and the other a BA for JFK. Quiet indeed

    Was picked up by T-MLAT with no registration info, but listening to the crew and the procedures it sounded like US military.
