I seen it on TV but never in real life. Swamp people (another guilty pleasure)

It seems handier, but not necessarily faster. I've seen lads (my cousin specifically) that would skin a deer in under 4 minutes. The fecker is fast as sin, and well used to doing it.

Still the way in the video is good if ya have a compressor, etc.

Yeah, came across it during the week when I went googling in how to improve my technique :-)

Normally I don't have a problem, improving the more I do it, by first deer of the season this year was a bitjx! Took off a lot of fat with it which I wasn't too happy about, and it was a head shot, so should have been a lot easier.

Just out of curiosity you shouldn't wash a carcase out with water but you can use compressed air to skin.

A moisture trap on the line should solve that.

I've done it myself but the foot pump i had wasn't great so i was knackered by the end of it.. was going to say the dude in the black needs to go back to the old way of skinning them as he's not burning off those cream buns as well as he used to. Anyway on a serious note is the deer fool of faeces?

Y'ep. Adding water to a warm carcass is a great way to get bacteria flourishing.
but you can use compressed air to skin.

Not sure if it is a good idea or not. I just do not like the idea of pressuring the carcass with air that is not sterile. May be no harm, but why take the risk? The time savings aren't much.

Warm water indeed is a big no can do, if you have to clean out a carcass using water use cold running water and lots of it.

I've four compressors in work two if and two small. To big ones have moisture traps and some box yoke that stop moisture going down the lines. So I'm the winter we drain off the tank maybe on. Every two or three weeks. Holy **** you wanna see the stuff that comes out of it. You'd be afraid to put your hand in it never mind wash out your carcass that your going to eat.

How about "pub" beer gas & a regulator ? - be a bit cleaner than compressed air ?
