Scope for 270

    hi there. im thinking of buying a new scope for my 270, i was looking for advice on what is best to buy , thinking of mid price , trustworthy scope , all advice appreciated .

    What are you thinking in terms of mid range price?

    Low value - €500 (and under)
    Mid value - €501 - €1,300
    High value - €1,300 +

    Then the really high value that start or go from €2,500 upwards.

    If ya want new the Zeiss duralyt at 750 is great scope for money .
    And in the middle of cass mid price !

    1300 will buy you a lot of scope and second hand you will get a high price scope for mid price

    What size are you thinking about need more info really .

    The kahles scope in this is excellent example of high price scope for mid price range

    In 500 -1300 EUR class you should look at: Meopta, Kaps, IOR, Docter, Kahles scopes, in this order from average to best.

    However, it would be much easier to advise you if you would specify exact price range to +/-50 EUR and if you would write what kind of hunting/shooting you are interested in?

    Sorry to jump in on this question but if you don't mind me asking lads. I have a Bushnell elite tactical 6500 in 4.5-30x50 mill dot reticle. This would be in the mid range price. Have any of uses any experience with one of these and what do you think of them. I shoot mostly at night out to say 400m and now just not sure on my choice. Was using my mates nightforce before I got this. And I think this has thrown me off now !

    You use a sporting/tactical scope and I was writing strictly about hunting scopes.

    Bushnell elite scopes are not bad and if you wanted high magnifications and tactical turrets this is a good choice. However it is significatly bigger than normal hunting scopes and you have to be careful that your turrets don't move since they are not covered or lockable.

    Was looking for a good scope for night shooting and as I said am now waving on my choice. Any advice would be good. And as I said sorry for jumping in on thread
