Manscara, Guyliner, Manbags, all those stupid words for things we already have words for, they just have to use a different word when men use them.

Maybe you should look up what spirituality means.

As an atheist I regard myself as spiritual most of the time. Being spiritual IMO is a state of being, which can change from moment to moment. It's about where your awareness is.

    Meh.

And a spiritual atheist. We're doomed.

Distributed computing needed an easy to understand metaphor as it became mainstream. "The Cloud" is perfect.

See a lot of portmanteaus in this thread. I enjoy a good portmanteau myself.

Expedite seems to be thrown around a lot these days, not mad about that one but not sure it's a bargain buzzword either

    I actually like 'the cloud'.

as in "I'll upload that fcuker to the cloud if he doesnt shut up". In any other context its quite bad

    Cold-snap

I hate that phrase so much. A 6 month winter shouldn't be associated with the word snap

    'Prinking' kills me inside.

    THANK you.

May as well be called "pricking." As in: that word is for pricks.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,574 ✭✭✭whirlpool

I'm getting a bit tired of seeing the word "privilege" thrown around as a meme on the internet in order to invalidate someone's opinion without actually responding to the content of what they've said.

Tends to be used in arguments about sexism, minorities, civil rights etc.

I don't get it. What's "privilege" about?
