cust.ie.blueface.com or sip.blueface.ie should work the same. As far as I know cust.ie.blueface.ie won't work.

    Hi,
Oldish thread I know, Delete if required.
I have this 'kinda' working on the unbranded F1000
Can dial out and in, seems to be working ok but intermittently loses registration (i Think)

Have you changed registration expiry time from 3600 secs to 113 secs?

    Thanks for that Mr. G!
    Hopefully that will do it.

If I have SIP ALG set to disable in the NAT tab, would i be able to register to other providers - using either a Fritz box or another SIP-Analogue converter?

    SIP ALG should be disabled.

Yes but the F1000 should work itself without the need for another adapter, but you can use one if you like.
Make sure you are connecting the phone to the correct line phone port.

The phones are stable now with the timer adjusted.:)

I haven't tried the external ATA as well yet for a few other less used providers but I will try over the next few days.

Post up the config as a screenshot (without username and password) and I'll have a look to see where you might have gone wrong.

    Hi jca,
Are you using the F1000 unbranded modem as your main VDSL connection to Eircom ?

    Just to make sure

Can you download zoiper on a smart phone or pc from zoiper.com

Set that up with your username and password for the blueface account and ensure that it registers.
You should be able to dial out to 300 or 305 or 303 to test.
You should also be able to get calls in.

To double check to see that your are registered go to www.blueface.ie
    log on there
Go to Call Management (under home)
Scroll down to SIP accounts and you should see if your account is registered or not.

If it is all good then carry on to the next step.
Remove the registration on the mobile or pc as you are going to set it up on the F1000 router/modem.

    F1000

With the previous firmware version I had I found the web interface to be slow, so I upgraded it
Here is what it shows now in Maintenance/Firmware Upgrade
    Current Firmware Version: 1.00(AAKL.10)C0

Anyhow on to the Blueface settings:

    VoIP/SIP/Service Provider
    Add new provider
    SIP Service Provider Name: Blueface
    SIP Local Port: 5060
    SIP Server Address: cust.ie.blueface.com
    SIP Server Port: 5060
    REGISTER Server Address: cust.ie.blueface.com
    REGISTER Server Port: 5060
    SIP Service Domain: cust.ie.blueface.com

    Click on more...
    Scroll down
Ticked are as follows: (all others unticked)
Remove '5060' and 'transport=udp' from request-uri in SIP messages
Remove the 'Route' header in SIP messages
Don't send re-invite to the remote party when there are multiple codecs answered in the SDP

    Bound Interface Name: Any_WAN

    Outbound Proxy
    Outbound Proxy Address: cust.ie.blueface.com
    Outbound Proxy Port: 5060

The rest is at default - scroll down the page to Timer Setting
    As per Mr G
    Expiration Duration: 113

Tick Immediate Dial Enable at the end and then Apply

    Then go to SIP Account
    Add new account
    General
    Tick Enable SIP Account
SIP account number: (the name of your first account in blueface)
    Authentication:
Username: (the name of your first account in blueface)
Password: (password in blueface for the first account)

    Apply to Phone
Leave it at Phone 1 with Phone 2 unticked.

    Tick more...
I have 'Enable Anonymous Call Block' ticked to reject incoming anonymous calls.

I also setup missed call notification by email but we can get to that later.

    Click Apply

Ensure that the 'light bulb' is lit on the SIP account page

    Click on System Monitor/VoIP Status
You should see 'On Register' under Registration for your SIP1 account.

I have it up and running, ringing in and out
On 2 calls it gets a bit choppy but that is the poor bandwidth here.

Let me know how you are getting on...

    Dear 65535

Thank you. Your post allowed me to finally fix a problem going on for six months getting Blueface to work on an unlocked Huawei B583S modem. Why Blueface cannot get their website together any more is beyond me.

I also experienced rudeness and sales pressure from one of their customer service people today, "Victoria", who despite the problem having already been isolated to the router on multiple previous calls, insisted on trying to flog me a Panasonic phone. However their senior support people are very good and "Brian" facilitated me with a month's renewal and I fixed it! Thanks to your excellent instructions here.

Much appreciated. Blueface used to be very good and I find their service reliable but someone seriously needs to look into how poor the website and customer service first level staff have become.

    All the best

    Imogen

    Thanks Imogen,
I am glad you got sorted.
From my own end, I have replaced my Eircom box with a Fritz Box, however I was unable to register to Blueface due to timers. So to resolve that I have my Blueface phone registered with sipsorcery.com and I just register to that. So that works for me.
It is indeed a shame that all of that setup info is now gone, I presume that Blueface have changed their 'business model' and do not really want the residental market anymore.
    Best Regards
