Sorry I was half interested in one of these but never made a seminar in the end. So - I'm sorry I cannot advise on where to setup the addressing for the device.

Looks like you setup the 10.x address already .

I personal would stick with different ssids as you can then tell which AP you are connected with. Some prefer the same name and authentication as it is more seamless moving between networks.

Thanks mate! I don't mind having two SSID's but can they be put on the same network\subnet using the 192.168.1.x addresses?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Yep....got it all sorted mate and all my devices are now on the same network ;-) Was easy peasy in the end....there is an actual setting on one of the pages you need to turn on and away you go!

    All the best,
    Mark

Is this the bridge setting on the meraki?

I gave a short amount of time yesterday to setup the Meraki AP to extend my network - with a bog standard Sky router.

Gave it a static IP on the range, set the SSID to be the same but not sure if I stopped it giving out DHCP so that could be the issue there.

Has anyone been able to hook one of these up with an eircom router?

Yes, just connect the lan port of the eircom router to the wan port on the Meraki.

Works great for viewing which devices are downliading the most, also you can create a wifi network for the kids and set start and stop time on it.

    You remotely administer from anywhere.

How does it work in terms of security? Does the data get re-routed through Cisco servers?

Also after 3 years will this AP become useless ?
