Turning on the television after someone close to deaf has been watching it. Or that weird thing where the ad breaks on certain channels are louder than the show itself. One minute you're nursing a glass of red to the soothing, sultry voice of David Attenborough.. then bam you're crapping your wine-soaked pants in front of Harvey Norman.

YouTube and earphones in general.
