I think the finish on the CZ is a lot better than the Remington, but then I'm biased coz I have a CZ.

My friend has a Remington sps varmint and they are the base model.

If your going for the remington take a look at the .223 cdl lovely wooden stock with a stainless fluted barrel ..

2 different propositions in those 2 rigs IMHO.

    Down to your personal preference.

Remy SPS is base model of a higher-priced rifle.

CZ 527 is top-priced model of less-expensive rifle.

    Both are good quality.

If you can't decide using their respective features, take a look at their 2nd-hand prices.

The 527 synthetic is the cheapest model of the 527 range

My money would be on the cz to shoot better out of the box but down the road if you want to change stocks or triggers etc the remington will be an easier option

I'd go for the CZ, you can't fault what's essentially a Mauser action with a decent barrel and a decent trigger out of the box.

I'll admit to being a bit out of touch, but when he said cz527 synthetic, I assumed he meant Kevlar.

They are two separate models. The kevlar being the most expensive.
