How do people remember pin numbers

How do people remember their pin numbers and passwords?

I have a couple of passwords to various websites like email, facebook etc. I just type them all in and one of them works.

Its the pin number to your bank card which is the problem. I know you can change it but what 4 digits can you use thats easy to remember besides your birthday. I have mine written down in my wallet which is very risky if i ever lost it.

Weirdly, its the same as the first four numbers of my mobile number.

And also my boards password.

There is usually a white strip on the back of the card where you can write stuff. It is perfect for writing your PIN on, never have to worry about forgetting it. Much better than a piece of paper in your wallet, as you may lose that!

A fake telephone number in my wallet. Last few digits is the pin.

Store you pin as a contact in your phone, never in the wallet, Strange i've never had a problem with passwords or pins. Guess i'm lucky

You just have to threat it a a phone number and learn it off.
You can also use a number such as the year of something that happened in your life that wouldn't be obvious!

I put my pin number on the back of my bank card and I have a sticker on the

back of my iPhone with my pin on it. it works for me

I'm surprised that this is even a problem tbh.

A four digit number should be easy to remember once you repeat it to yourself once or twice.

I remember a lot of numbers. My ATM,my current mobile phone number,my previous mobile number, all of the house telephone numbers we had over the years(over 4+) different passwords for facebook,emails etc.

My PPS number various wifi passwords and not including others peoples numbers store in the oul noggin'! I'm pretty **** at maths though!

It really isn't that difficult for normal people to remember 4 numbers. If you're bad at numbers, perhaps try memorising a pattern on the keypad (e.g. 2580 would be a straight line down the middle of the keypad).

Ive had for same number for years, so i don't actually think of the number ,my fingers just hit the right numbers on the keys, but about a year ago i was ask "put in your pin "at shop ,for some reason i tryed to think of the number in my head, rather then do it automatically, could not remember the number for the life of me!

I remember my pin by a pattern on the keypad, not the actual numbers.

What pisses me off are the keypads which start from the bottom (789456123). They wreck my buzz

How do you remember the pin for your phone tho? Store it as a contact on a second phone?

Fake number under a fake name in my phone. Last four digits is the number. Last week I just went blank and couldn't remember for the life of me and lucky for me, my phone broke the same day. Had to request a new one and need a plan b. I've a fairly shoddy memory when it comes to numbers.

Okay I realize that's 50 possible combinations but still, try a few a day/find out your number and you're in.

Was expecting a refund on my credit card today. Went to check only to find there is almost €1000 worth of fraudulent activity on it :mad:

All I know so far is its some ****bag in Ireland.

It's a very bad idea to write your pin number on your ATM card.

You won't be able to see it when you stick it in the machine.

I could barely tell you what my pin number is up until the point I get to the pass machine. Sometimes that bites me in the ass and I get to a till and it's completely gone out of my head. I have to go for a walk, get it out of my head and then walk up to a pass machine and just start pressing buttons, which usually works. It's the ultimate password security system.
