    Have a look here http://www.heinnie.com/Knives/c-1-92/
Boker plus and Kershaw are well priced, I've a Kershaw Knives Crown that I carry most of the time, great on rabbits and pigeons.
    Good luck with the collecting!

I know everybody to there own and all just trying to understand this one !

The main thing I look for in a knife is sharpness and the ability to hold that edge .

If it were me starting a knife collection I'd want something , I'd be proud to show like one of those John reck knives , something if I showed it to a lad they would straight say . That is class ! A talking point so to speak !

What most people that collect knives do is realise I've a load of junk after 2 years and try to off load them then for next to nothing .

It better to have 5 knives hand made and crafted then 20 made in china!

At the height if it i had over 70 knives. Some of my favorites were the Cold Steel, Buck, and my Gil Hibbons.

They varied from everyday use ones by Muela, Buck, Gerber, etc to a couple of pure show pieces (such as the Gil Hibbons, the two Cold Steel, and hand made piece i got from the states). Some i did not even know the brand, but liked the knife.

I collected them for over 23 yars and only last year sold off a load of them. Now i wouldn't consider any of them as junk as i picked each one myself and wouldn't buy sh*te (not on purpose anyway), but i did keep the ones that i had an attachment to and some of the more expensive ones that i simply wouldn't sell.

So if starting a knife collection consider price, brand and if you intend to use them or just collect (put in a display cabinet).
