Its woeful.
Iits like been given a bag of sweets with 40 in the pack everyday then one day some developer guy with no design sense replaces it with a bag of sweets with only 12 in it.

Doesn't show nearly enough recent posts. Boards moves very fast and if you have to go to page 3-5 to find a new thread you may be interested in you may just never see it.

I like the layout, and I assume if you click the link it brings you to your last unread post. Just show all pages on 1 and I'll be happy.

I don't automatically despise things because they're new and was confident that I'd get used to it in no time but with no "go to last read post" arrow and a lot less topics on the list, I'm disappointed. It's a downgrade, IMO.

I rarely if ever use the home page, so it makes no odds to me really. The only thing that stands out to me, is you can't seem to filter by Virgins any more

It's awful for usability, there's something very wrong if the touch version of boards offers more content than the desktop version. 15 threads instead of 12 and it's very easy to scan through.

They should bring back the table of 40 threads. 12 isn't anywhere near enough for a site of this size. Way too much padding and empty space.

What is the purpose of having the number of thanks a thread has listed on the homepage? It really is superfluous. The old version at least had the viewcount for a thread beside it. Anyway I suppose I'll learn to live with it, but at the mo I prefer the old one

The view count for a thread isn't accurate.

Strongly dislike. Less threads & no last page icon, these are compromises in design to crowbar in the trending topics link.

Can't say I used the home page at all, in my short time here. The new is definitely nicer, aesthetically. I thought there was too much going on, previously.

ps...announcements box is a horrendous waste of space. They were prominent enough as stickies, now we have a whack of screen with dead space right now and a load of announcements in future which will become redundant once read. It's not like those announcements threads develop much.

Saved me typing that out. I do like the look of it, and the trending/thanks option but the functionality lost is a big thing.

It looked exactly like the one in a quoted post, as in this one. It was to the left of a thread title. If you'd read, say, 5 pages in a thread and then left, when you came back and saw the thread on the front page you could click the arrow and it would take you right back to where you'd left off.

That arrow and having a wide range of topics on the front page is what kept me from sticking to just one or two forums, and I'd end up reading a wide variety of other interesting stuff.

Don't like it. Actually preferred it before the last time they changed it. I thought it would just take a while to get used to the change but I still preferred it back then and now it's even worse.

Also I don't care about the thanks thing, if anything the thanks feature on posts should be completely removed.

List is too short

Clicking on My Forums in the menu takes me to the Latest post list instead of the My Forums list

It doesn't obey my user settings

It forces that really bright theme on me, instead of the one I use (beta) which means I have 2 different views and 2 different menus (New menu is not user friendly, have to click to get sub-menus, where's the logic in that?)

Well since you have asked I can only answer.......
My answer is, ITS TERRIBLE.

I understand that you want to gert away from Vbulletin but in doing so the front page/entry page is godawful......
One of the things I liked with boards was the numerous discussions on the front page from quizzes to anime, and I learnt a lot from reading about subjects that I would not usually have cared for. Now I get to see a small snippet of categories instead, which means my viewing topics is reduced.

Ah well whoever said change is good, might not have meant it in this way

I feel kind of bad for the people who designed it, they were probably all like "everyone gonna love the new homepage, I'm so happy" and now they'll see this and be all sad and feel unloved by the boards community.
