For a person that's so bent out of shape about posts being misinterpreted, you're doing a fairly bang up job of it yourself. My whole argument so far has been that we should avoid morality of the issue, yet advocates of incest insist that I address the morality of the issue, when the OP never even mentioned the word.

I believe that you and others have misinterpreted the OP. I think the question was always "what's morally wrong with it", because otherwise the quick answer would be "because the law says so". Thread over. Unless you ask the "why is it illegal?" Then a moral argument in unavoidable.

You've got to be shìtting me? Either that or you're on a wind up? The question is there in black and white - "What is actually wrong with incest?". You and others have chosen to read into what isn't bloody written there! You are doing exactly as I said - interpreting the OP to suit your own perspective. You are contributing to the lack of comprehension of the OP, simply because you believe one can only object on the grounds of morality. The last 30 odd pages have only come about from posters trying to tell you and others that just isn't the case, and your (plural) refusal to listen to any other factual argument!

But you (plural) have been GIVEN plenty of factual evidence, and you (plural) have decided that factual evidence isn't "good" enough reason to get you (plural) to realise that some people's reasons for their objection to incest are NOT based on morality. So STILL you (plural) insist on saying their objections are based on morality, and insist that they too must argue morality!

No. I'm not advocating anything other than logical deduction based on coherent argument. Your last two paragraphs there are the epitome of the opposite to that.

You've yet to make a coherent argument beyond misinterpreting both the OP and other people's posts. It'd be nice if you gave your opinion on the topic in your next post though, instead of playing the role of a cunning linguist.

No. It really pisses me off. But I'm an educator at heart...

So you have no opinion to contribute to the topic of the thread, but you just came in with a red pen to correct our homework? There's already been one poster who misguidedly thought they were a know-it-all educator; one faux intellectual was more than enough to have thought I needed a separate thread to teach me English, no need for a second one who can't stick to the topic and offer an on topic opinion.

Yep, thread isn't going to straighten up anytime soon! Thanks to the posters for having a reasonably civil and informative thread on a divisive issue, AH can surprise you sometimes.
