Guys just wondering have any of you had any experience with Fiocchi rifle amo for deer?. I was in the local RFD earlier and he had them in SST across most calibres from 223 to 30-06. I have never come across them in rifle amo before.

I've used Fiocchi in 9mm rimfire, 9mm parabellum and 12g cartridges and if the standards of quality in those calibers are anything to go by you definitely won't be let down by the rifle ammo.

Never seen them. I've seen Fiocchi ammo in cartridges, etc. but not SST.

They don't seem to be well stocked or else the dealers i frequent don't stock them. Hornady has a good foothold along with other brands, but Hornady would be the "go to" bullet for most.

What kind of price were they? Which dealer? Wouldn't mind giving them a run as i'm currently running the 95gr SSt in Hornady and would be interested to see if there is any difference.

The ballistics seem similar, and just as good.

Hi Cass, They were in Lakelands, just outside Mullingar. I picked up a few bits and pieces so cant remember the exact price to be sure, but I think they were 27 euro a box of 20. And I would say you could do better if buying a few boxes. I am away for the next few days, but will try them out at the weekend. I am also running the 95g Hornady SST in superformance so looking forward to seeing how they compare.

27 euro for 20 I am almost sure. But like most things I would say you could do a deal with Niall the owner when he is there. He is away in Spain this week I am told. If they are any good, I will see what type of deal he will do on a few boxes and let you know.
