No there not got GTA 5 of Cdwow.ie and the game came from Hong Kong they should only do that on stuff over a €1000 because seem pointless the government robbing us already pay taxing more on lower paid income they probably charge us for breathing next:rolleyes:

I order stuff regularly from HK, airsoft stuff mainly and have been stopped for VAT 95% of the time. Items ranging from €60-€650 they even put VAT on the shipping charge and a €5 handling fee on top of that too. Customs can stop anying of €40 from outside the EU, anything under €40 is let through. The anoumt of invoices I had to email them so they could charge me VAT is unreal.

I emailed Smyths.... answer is feck all use really (my question is below)

    "Thank you for your email.

Due to the popularity of this item we are unable to guarantee stock in any store.

Once an item has been pre-ordered in store you are guaranteed a copy of that item.

Please contact your local store in relation the orders list and make sure both your name and contact information have been correctly given to avoid disappointment.

We will also be expecting a further stock replenishment shortly.

If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Kind regards,

    2Hi there,

I am in the top 20 of the PS4 pre-orders in Waterford. I was in the store at the weekend and I was told that the first 20 orders are secure in the Waterford branch.

Can you confirm if that is true please because others on forums are saying that Smyths are quoting different numbers in different stores.

    Many thanks"

I don't think they can because it there warehouse which get them and then they can send them to the stores there probably getting them every 2 week shipment wise for the release on nov 29 and won't know until the last week what they have for launch.

Yeah a single game usually gets through as most of the time they will think its a cheaper DVD or Bluray and not worth the hassle.

Can someone ask gamestop on twitter if they are honoring early online pre orders for launch day. I would but I have been complaining so much to them when they seem to have stopped replying to me now!

I would have answered this earlier but I was working until late tonight.Anyway I had emailed them all day yesterday(all with replies in fairness) about the no bundle options, for all us early pre-order customers online. So my final question was will I even be still getting my console, here's the reply.........

    Hi
You will still be receiving you PS4 console. That is guaranteed to you as you placed it before the cut off point. So no need to worry there at all.

    Kind Regards
    Conor

    I pre-ordered on the Feb 22nd and June 11th.

    I pre-ordered on the Feb 22nd and June 11th.

I've no doubt that any of us that did pre-order on-line will receive the console on Nov 29th, but we are not being given the same opportunity to upgrade our order to a bundle like our in-store pre-order friends.

Can't believe GS are screwing their customers like this! I will get my PS4 ordered in Feb but I will never buy another product from Gamestop again if they do not offer us some sort of package of equal value.

Yeah I know I'm disgusted myself at this.So much for looking after their loyal customers.I have spent thousands(no exaggeration),in their online store and I've never got anything in reward.
But regarding the whole "Sony told us so",for the bundles.....I'm in contact with Sony themselves and awaiting a response from the HQ,to see if this is true. Not that this will achieve anything, but I'm chasing it up anyway.

They will have to give you something of 88 euro in value or 88 euro in discounts to balance out the missed opportunity of the Killzone bundle.

I'd highly doubt that in fairness. I reckon it's just tough cookies for us sods that went with the online option. Never again, I'll be going to Amazon in future. Have my last minute X1/Forza 5 bundle with them, launch day confirmed. Should have done the same with the PS4 but they were charging €30 more with the conversion rate.

You'd be looking at spring 2014 at this rate until supply can meet demand.

It would appear that you wont be able to get one till the end of January but I don't think anyone will really know till it actually comes out. You may as well pre-order it now somewhere and get your name on a list.

Ok so here is the Real Reason why us online folk cannot get an upgrade

    Hi Steven,

Thanks for you for you enquiry. Unfortunately a decision has been made to not sell the PS4 bundles via our E-commerce stores. The reason for this that we currently do not have the facility to upgrade a specific order without cancelling the entire order and having the customer place a new one. This would of course mean that you would lose your place in the pre-order queue.

I can see that you ordered on 19-06-2013 which means that you are guaranteed your PS4 for launch day.

I appreciate that this may be frustrating if you were looking for the bundle deal however at this time that is all that we can offer. I will certainly keep you up to date should the situation change.

    Kind regards,

    Darragh Verschoyle | E-Commerce Manager"

I am happy that they were honest in response to my complaint but this will be the last ever dealing I will have with Gamestop

    @ Moneymaker
That's pretty retarded. You'd think you could simply add a note to a customers pre-order saying he wants a bundle.

It is pure laziness on their part that they would not go through online orders and manually update the orders. Easier option for them is to just lose online customers like me! Bit galling considering the amount of business I have given them over the years.

They could have quite easily gone under had gamers not kicked up over DRM!

    Glad I ordered in-store now.

I pre-ordered Heart of the Swarm online off Gamestop and it didn't arrive on launch day so they have previous of being pretty ropey when it comes to online ordering.

They replied to my personal account too, with more information.

They say that any pre-ordered placed ONLINE before the 4th of august will get a console for launch date.

Hold em to their words now lads!

I can't get a straight answer from gamestop about the availability on any bundle. I rang, I emailed and even called instore but I still know feck all. They should surely know by now how many bundles are available and to who but still they wont say. I preordered in June so at the very minimum I'll get a console at launch but its the not being informed is whats pissing me right off.

Don't understand why they didn't take this into account when they first started doing pre-orders, just poor planning really. Least they gave the actual reason for it and it would appear they are guranteeing consoles ordered before the cut-off date so at least that's a positive.

Seems to be true too. I had to put a new deposit down for my Killzone Mega bundle. Local Manager said they can't update my order for the standard version as it would knock me off the list. (and I'm no.3!!)

So i have a 2 PS4 pre-orders now but he said they'll cancel one on launch night and just put through the other one so people don't lose their place on the lists.

I had to order the Killzone Mega bundle as a separate pre-order from the original because the manager said if they make changes by upgrading our original pre-orders the date will change and the place on the list is lost.

That sounds like a very messy system. Smyths was much more straight forward, you could just transfer it over. I hope this doesn't cause any issues on launch night.

I am trying to put a pre-order in on Amazon.

I do not see any option to bundle any games in with the console, like some previous posters have mentioned, any ideas?

Went in a little earlier and asked where I was on the list(ordered in june) and was told I was guaranteed a launch day console. :D

I then asked about bundles and the first guy said no bundles yet, but just then the guy beside him said there was a Killzone mega bundle just put on the system - they didn't have a price at first and then they did, E499.

I then asked what are the odds of me getting that bundle, considering my original pre-order position and was told E20 will secure it - I couldn't get the money out of my wallet quick enough.

To the person who loses out on the Killzone mega bundle because I got in ahead of him/her, I'm sorry.
