Ah shyte! Tried ringing Childers road but no answer.

I've tried pretty much every store in Limerick, Clare, etc. It's basically the same story everywhere.

Gamestop in town have the biggest queue - 60 people, already waiting for the second wave, which is not guaranteed before Christmas and they've no indication from Sony when it will arrive.

Smyths aren't even taking pre-orders for the second wave as they've no idea when it will arrive. The person in Xtravision said he's fairly sure the second wave will be before Christmas, but again they've no real indication and can't guarantee it.

I've bit the bullet and gone with Amazon. Here's hoping it arrives before Christmas. Hopefully I don't pay the penalty of having 2 weeks off over Christmas with no console and it'll arrive when I'm back to work, for leaving pre-ordering on the long finger.

Went to see about pre ordering in GameStop in Portlaoise and was told I'd have it on the second wave the week after launch date.

Does anyone know what the preorder story is with the UK? My brother works there 3 days a week. I could get him to preorder there if it's still possible. He's not going to be over there for another week though so if anyone knows the dealio that would be great!

I'd say it's the same over there - launch models will have been snapped up.
Anyone pre-ordering now will be in line for the next batch.

Also, if you have a friend in France, going to be the same I'd imagine.

Prob even worse in the UK, sure they'll get bigger numbers of stock but the amount pre-ordering I'd imagine was a lot higher too

Will people who have pre ordered be offered any type of bundle deal, or is it just, buy the console and games separate.

Looks like I'll have to stand outside Gamestop with a brick in a sock so :pac:

Has anyone pre ordered in Tralee ?

For those who haven't pre-ordered yet, the main hope would be HMV. They'll be reopening some branches soon and MAY allow pre-ordering when they open.

Apart from that, as mentioned, Argos and Tesco may have 'em at launch.

The first batch is split between Gamestop, Xtra Vision and Smyths, Argos and Tesco will not have any till the second batch and even that is not set in stone.

We'll hear about bundles in the run up to launch.
I'm hoping Gamestop call me with options before console launch.

    Do what I did

Sign up with parcel Motel and get it delivered to Antrim address.

That's means 29th November delivery using first class delivery for free and lower UK vat rate.

Means a total of £349 for PS4 and €3.50 Parcel Motel charge

No. There is a much, much larger customer pool with the current gen systems than there will be with PS4/XBox1. They'd lose out on what can only be described as, "a sh1t ton of money".

Is there a certain risk as insurance only covers €100 on parcel motel if package goes missing it never has but you never know. Also still means you might not get it until Monday doubt Amazon will ship before release date so I think ships on the Friday delivered to Belfast Sunday and hopefully in your parcel motel collection point maybe sunday morning approx. 1.30am.

Also can you mess with the delivery address on your order i.e. change it to Parcel Motel Belfast address without causing you to re-order and miss the first batch?

There is no GTA pack - It's just wishful thinking.

R* will not give a next gen release date for GTA V as it will detract from sales now.

And if Gamestop here do the offer that they are gonna do in the US, if it does come out on PS4, you can trade your PS3 version in for the PS4 version for just 10 euro.

There is only a PS3/GTAV pack coming. No GTAV for PS4 for the time being, may be ported over at the end of next year after the PC version is released.

I thought that was a developer offer, a few have signed up for this - ubisoft, WB and a few others.
Did R* say they will do it too?

Or is this a separate offer from Gamestop US that they will do for ALL games that are released on both consoles?

Separate, the thing Sony were on about is for games bought off PSN but the gamestop off seems to be all of them for physical content.

R* are giving a 75% off discount to any other R* game when you pre-order GTA V off of PSN, there may be limitations to that but if it's just the next R* game you could use it on a unannounced PS4 version of GTA V; I know there's been no announcement and even if there was they likely would only allow current titles to be discounted.
