PS4 Pre-Order Thread! Where are you getting yours?

AC: Black Flag was on back order through Videogames Canada, went with Amazon will hopefully have it by Friday week.

Anyone know if amazons price for the PS4 + KZ bundle went up or something ?, or has the euro lost some value against the pound ?

My amazon order with 2 day delivery is 498e right now... but im nearly sure it was like 480 afew weeks back when i last checked...i could be mistaken though..

Amazon does value add tax for your country plus your paying in pounds

My Aunt was in Gamestop today and was told that they have 10 times as many PS4 pre orders than XB1 pre orders, might be some poor kids on Christmas day getting the console they did not want.

Friend of mine offered me €700 for my bundle, I declined and said if I intended to sell it it would be at cost price and that I didn't preorder in May so I could make a quick buck. I preordered early because I wanted the damn thing.

So I got a text from I think the manager at gamestop on the November the 9th saying: good news I will have the Console on launch.

Went in Monday to pay it off and was two girls working and they said I defo won't be getting it on launch,they said the guy that text me was working Wednesday(today)

Just back from gamestop to talk to the guy who sent the text,he said do I want it on midnight,I said yes,he said I had 3 options: just the console or KZ bundle or Knack bundle,I went wit the console,he said I had to pay their and then,which I had intended to do.

I asked do I need an invitation,he said no that's it,just turn up on the night

IMPORTANT: he said bring ID as they will be very strict

He also believes people will be queuing at 9pm

Updated my Amazon order to standard from free and it gave me a estimated delivery of the 2-3rd.

Not happy about spending €35 more than the bundle is worth here (€500) but still a better deal and treatment than those *******s in Gamestop (online) offered.

Writing an email now to ask Gamestop are they seriously not doing anything for online customers and then next step is cancelling 1 of my orders and it's probably going to be Gamestop.

Why do people go to midnight launches and queue for potentially hours, when they can just pop in the following morning and collect it (assuming they have it preordered).

Is it fear of not getting one ? Or just the atmosphere of the event ? Or just impatience ?

I preordered around the 13th August in Gamestop in Parkway, Limerick. Went in a few weeks ago when I read the tweet on their forums about everyone guaranteed a console on launch if they preordered before the end of August. Manager confirmed it after ringing their PR guy. I wonder is this really true or just what they hope will happen ?

Going to get my receipt at 9, have it all paid off already and then heading to the pub, will go back down around half 11, they only have so many and have only told so many to come in, so no point in queuing for the night when you should be in and out fairly quickly seeing that you will have no walkins
