Size wise what's it like compared to the Ipad, Santa was thinking of getting one for my son but only if i can get a decent cover for it and with the ipad ones going so cheap on adverts etc this unit would suit !

Oh and its at 129 at the moment !

Loads available on Amazon with or without keyboards for small money, http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_4?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=10.1%20tablet%20case&sprefix=10.1%2Caps%2C222

It's a hell of a lot cheaper than an ipad, especially these days of austerity, everyone I talk to is saying Xmas will be a small affair this year.
Have xmbc running flawlessly on the one here, even used a mini hdmi to connect it to the tv.Your son will find it handy & easy to use.

I got one of these for myself a few months ago and must say I love it. I like the big screen and fast loading. I do find its slow when I leave it for a few days and it has to update everything like emails, Facebook, apps when I get back to it I bought a lovely case for it which is also a stand for 20 euros in tesco. 2 of my kids are looking for them off santa now. I've never been an apple fan mainly because of music and videos having to go through iTunes so this tablet seems perfect for me.

I just bought one at that price in DID. I wanted something that I cod browse the Internet and play movies for the kids.

It depends what you're used to. I have an iPhone and expect a responsive touch screen. So i found this tablet totally frustrating to use.
However I would imagine its great for movies and games. It was just totally unsuitable for browsing the net.

So I got a Samsung galaxy tab 3 instead. Which is great.

Complete waste of money. Bought one to surf the net. Worked fine for a couple of months, then screen started to freeze, rebooting itself, crashing. Finally would not power up anymore. Read reviews on Amazon and lots of people had similar problems. Do not buy

Grow up man and do what any responsible male would do.

Place the tablet on the couch behind a cushion and say nothing.

I find it less blameworthy to 'accidentally' knock things like this off the kitchen counter, rather than risk an embarrassing/painful trip the A&E.

Just a heads up on these,DID no longer sell them but if you have one that you bought within the last year (ie. in warranty) and it's died, they'll take it back no questions.Mine was out of warranty & they still took it back.

I am looking for a budget 10 inch tablet, basically for reading the paper, browsing, displaying recipes, etc. Is this a good choice?
