But that's part of the problem, no point going into contact every time with the ball and lose momentum.

You know there's such a thing as holding on to the ball when the pass is not the good option.

That looked like a very sore hit.

He's a winger not a 10, 90% of his passes will be after contact.

My TV nearly fell off the table during that collision.

Nah. Would be madness to take them off Farrell when he's kicking so well and is going to in the test 23.

Just feel that Sexton needs to be given the responsibility as he has barely kicked so far on tour.

Well definitely Toner could do real damage here.

I heard Noel Reid is on the way out for Tuilagi too, and Bent as an extra LH too...

That's two head to head collisions Mako has had and he never once got jelly legs.

Exactly. He doesnt pass he only offloads when he knows he cant go further

    An offload is a pass...

Good discussion there on the Aussie outhalf debate.

Great kick for the chasers. Cooper stood up well but not a clue why he declined to mark it.

Sexton isn't seeing any ball here at all. Doesn't seem to be the first receiver.

North took the right option carrying out wide there, he'd one man outside him and the defence was drifting across, he spotted a gap and almost got through it, if the offload had've stuck it would most likely have resulted in a try.

Cant understand the commentators praise for Cooper, he's been brutal IMO.

He's at 10 but they're using the pack to bring it up and Sexton to sit deep. I suspect they're protecting him a little bit and wouldn't have wanted to bring him on when they did.

Ah you know what I mean. I think North should start but I just think that no welsh backline player can pass the ball and its a major weakness when playing with others who arent 6'4 and 18 stone

I've a sneaky feeling that Farrell will start at 10 for the first test.

Maybe as impact player but he has been dissapointing in doing the grunt stuff that props are supposed to do

Warburton literally hasn't been mentioned by the commentary team since the game began. It's total cheerleader analysis, never saying anything critical about a Lions player and then over praising them at every opp

IS he on the wing maybe?

Toby is a rubbish 8 shouldn't be near the squad

    Thought's on Faletau's performance lads?
I may be biased but I've been very unimpressed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,212 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Faletau might well have cost himself a shot at the test jersey tonight. I'm surprised at how poor he has been.

While this is patently untrue he hasn't been very good today.

Not a hope barring injury to Sexton. Simply isn't int he same league

Farrell is going well but he still can't control a game like Sexton
