Only since Tywin took over. His own father nearly destroyed their house and Tywin wants to make sure that they last even after he dies.

More along the line of the Lannisters being a powerful house...who declined under Tytos Lannister so much so that 2 of their vassals felt able to rebel. They had been one of the principal houses of Westeros....comparable to the Tully's, Starks, Tyrells and Baratheon's. (The Arryns and the Martell's being the other 'ruling house's of the 7 Kingdoms)

Nope. It's Memorial Day in the US today so it's on next week

No it wasn't aired as it was Memorial Day in the US. Moved on a week.

As I pointed out on an earlier post - HBO were majorly disappointed that episode 9 last year (a pivotal episode) aired on Memorial Day got the worst ratings of the entire series - competing against loads of college football/ basketball etc

And it was the best ep of the season! my housemate and his missus are catching up and they ploughed through season 2 recently, I watched the Blackwater episode with them, that bit when Bronn fires a single flaming arrow into Stannis' fleet and blows the bejesus out of them is fantastic.

I recently watched all the seasons again and this episode was brilliant. The drums on Stannis's ships were awesome and I imagine that if you were trapped in a city under seige it would put the sh!ts up you but Bronn really showed them who was boss! Well played Tyrion.

I can't decide who has a nicer ass. Daenerys or Melisandre?

Melisandre, without a doubt. I was watching Black Book on Netflix last night, a Dutch film, and she plays a different kind of character. She's got a lot of charisma.

The Hound has some brilliant lines as well "If anyone dies with a clean sword I'll rape his fcuking corpse!"
